Hmm. No takers? Thought that one would be easy. This song, guessing a little bit here, was out in the mid 60s.
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

You are correct, Master Danlo (same song, tho). Take it away.

Oh crap u're right! DUH--back in a sec...**kicks self in the head** (back now) OK here we go...

Dust fills my eyes
Clouds roll by and I roll with them
Centuries cry
Orders fly and I fall again

This world is spinning inside me
The whole world is spinning inside of me
Every day sends future to past
Every step brings me closer to my last
fall far and well Pilots!

WHOA.... 8O

I posted a reply to the Stones lyrics yesterday I think - typically, it didn't send. The strange thing is the new one I suggested for you: Zeppelin....

Anyway was that Dream Theater I heard?

Sorry Danlo, I am evil, psychic, and love my music. And smugly knowing stuff
saw her on the corner
where she lived, I asked her
"can you braid my hair?"
She and her girlfriends laughed at me
said that "it was easy but It'll cost you some"

Name this song! Has some of the most beautiful lyrics ever written, by the way.

If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come thru the music,
Would you hold it near as it were your own?

It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps they're better left unsung.
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.

There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.

Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.

But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.

Poison ;)
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
