heh, if I were making a definitive list of my favorite things instead of a joke-list, I'd be using about 20 of those spoiler things! :)

Certainly spoiler would be #1
Weekends belong on the list.
Spoiler on the weekends.
Vacations.
A home cooked meal.
And a great restaurant experience.
Browsing the used book store.

BTW, Leper Fairy, are skate shoes really cool? I thought of buying some for an 8 yr. old.(don't wanna look like a clueless dork) :?

I love my skate shoes to death. I wear them with almost everything too... skirts, whatever. The main reason I love them is they are just so damn comfortable! They are really roomy and padded so it's always really soft. Also, on most of them they are meant to have really loose laces (probably only for looks). There's a strap on the inside of mine (and most others too I think...) that keeps the tongue down so I don't need to tie or untie my shoes to get them on and off, just step in. :D If you buy some for the kid, get some for you too! I would reccomend Osiris or DC Shoe Co.

Love? Overrated. Biochemically no different from eating large quantities of chocolate.

Polish my bleedin' dog, eh?! Is that some kind of New Age jargon?! Although, what I do need to go do is buy George Harrison's All Things Must Pass.

The first warm day of spring. When the leaves bud the grass is green, and everything smells new. (And the mosquitos aren't out yet)

the way a freshly bathed baby smells
the first yellow crocuses blooming up through the snow
the way the sun shines on water
the first time your child laughs
sunrise over Brice Canyon
the first time you look into the Grand Canyon
the sound of the surf pounding on a sleepy morning
the sound of a gentle rain on the roof
the smell of baking bread
Love as thou wilt.

Right now, if it doesn't involve a ship (definately no spoiler for me on the ship), it's a good thing.

But to list a few things... spoiler
Spoiler
(long, kinky, sweaty spoiler... spoiler with chocolate, whipped cream, strawberries, ice... spoiler after sharing a bottle of wine, oral spoiler, upside-down spoiler with more spoiler on a spoiler tape in the VCR, hot wax, gotta lay down a blanket spoiler, spoiler with glow in the dark body paint, spoiler on the beach under the stars or looking up at the trees, back-scratching, headboard breaking spoiler that wakes up the neighbors)
Cuddling after spoiler, Smoking a cigarette after spoiler
Anything my son does that doesn't involve bodily fluids or loud, prolonged noise
Sandwiches (especially the ones my wife makes for me)
Unexpected humor
People who genuinely listen
People who sincerely speak
Courtesy
Sleeping in
Clean, line-dried sheets
Soft beds and pillows that don't swallow you
Air-conditioning
A new, good book
Catching a good movie that seems to have slipped by everyone's radar
Playing spades with the fellas
Meeting new friends
Meeting old friends
Sightseeing
Cruising
Mudding
Rainbow foamy auto-carwash
Recreational insobriety
New CDs
Finding a good, used CD
Finding money in clothes or in the wash
Noticing some cutey's checking you out
Cool summer breezes
Paid vacation
Runner's high
Massages
Finding a pub with cider on tap
Fireworks
Target shooting
Meteor showers
Spelunking
Bowling a strike
Lilacs
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
