Thomas and Jeremiah

What type of relationship do you think they will have together? Father - Son? Any jealousy? What?

If Jeremiah saw Covenant stabbed in the heart, he may be well be thrilled and terrifically and positively shaken to see him alive, (and this may be the *very life-shaking event* that "wakes" Jeremiah up!).

Jeremiah may well then terrifically *latch on to Covenant*, like a baby duckling latches on to, and follows, its mother. ("Imprinting" is what this phenomenum is called in biological circles).

And when they meet Linden, Jeremiah will still be "imprinted" on Covenant, and will not be able to "imprint" on Linden. (Imprinting only happens once. When scientists get young birds to imprint on aeroplanes, instead of their parents, they can never be imprinted on to their parents).

And Linden might be somewhat "on the shelf".

hmmm... I think they will probably develop some kind of Father-Son relationship... Covenant is bound to feel (considering that it's Linden's child) some kind of protective emotion towards him.

Before they trip to the Land Roger tells Linden (about Jerimiah) something like he's just meat, there hasn't been anyone home for ten years.
If Jerimiah has been in the Land since he placed his hand in the fire in WL then he could have spent this time with TC and there relationship would be as father and son I assume. It would give TC someone to look after. Remember no one has been translated back from the Land that wasn't holding white gold.

If it turns out to be true, as some have surmised, that Jeremiah has been in the Land, in some sense or fashion, since he thrust his hand into the fire in WL . . . then, is it possible that Jeremiah (who, even in his catatonic state, loves to build things) was in some way responsible for the change in the Weird of the ur-viles and for the development of Vain in the first place? And would such a relationship between Jeremiah and the ur-viles not also explain the group of ur-viles that ride a caesure into the future looking for Linden?

Just thinking out loud here, and probably all wet; but I'm intrigued by the possibilities. :?

I think Jeremiah was never in Fouls possession.I believe the same forces that diverted Covenent to Kevins Watch in the past diverted Jeremiah to some other location. And possibly with aid he had a hand in Covenents resurection. The title of the next book tells me that this may have a dire outcome..........or will it?So many things in Donaldsons writings turn out to be other than they first seem. Also I believe the only way that the Land can be rid of Lord Foul is to draw him to our reality, disconected from possibilities of magic in The Land, even when Foul has touched our reality,he has remained tethered in the land, just finding a way to transpose his will across dimensions. Here on earth he would be powerless and could be slain...............or at least thats what a reliable source tells me HAHA.

..I Think you are close to the Real question..but no cigar. To me the real question is..how is Thomas, walking dead, or alive..going to get along with his son Roger?...
...Interesting parallel..Avery and her now Un-autistic son jerry..and Thomas,,with his son, probably possesed by a Raver...can't we all get along?..Let the healing begin!....MEL
