Twin Peaks?

Post by A Gunslinger »

Any big fans out there? I am a huge fan!

Cooper was pehaps one of the most original characters to grace TV ...ever. And BOB was the most horrifying.

Comments? Discussion?

I tend to get put off from watching a show if it has the words 'Channel 5' associated with it. Never saw it while it was on.

I am a huge TP fan! I've got the first season on DVD and Fire as well.

Any idea when the 2nd season will be released on DVD?

Agent Cooper is one of my all time favorite good guys. That show was one of the best ever. There are a number of paralells bewteen TP and Black House (King/Straub) if you have ever read it.

Oh yeah! Twin Peaks is THE reason we made the grudging switch to dvd.....the vhs are hard to find and even harder to watch. So we bought our newfangled machine just in time to buy the first season when it came out, and couldn't leave without FWWM as well. :D :D

Where oh where is the second season??? It's been like four years already! :x :?

What was great about it was originality. There was nothing like it before or since.

I was just a kid when it came on but what I did see made such an impact that I eventually made the effort to search out and watch the series and Fire walk with me, amazing! David Lynch has always intregued me. Shame on those who canned it!

I love David Lynch and think that Twin Peaks got the short end of the stick as far as TV life. Personally I love the duality of Laura Palmer. Even though we didn't get to know her in life we got to see the line of good girl/bad girl blurred through her.

You know, I could never get into TP. I was a film major, I studied David Lynch (pre-TP), and I just can't get my head around it.

Wizard of Ox? I recall seeing what I thought was a cow in the tornado at the beginning of the Wizard of Oz, but it certainly could have been an Ox. Is the Wizard of Ox a re-telling of the story from it's perspective?

Dang it......the one time I do not read what I have typed before I pressed submit.

I was in fact referring to the Wizard of Oz, the one told from Dorothy's perspective.

I WANT!!!!!!!!

LOL  The first season and Fire Walk With Me came out on dvd here several years ago.....no word on if they're ever gonna release season 2..... :(

And an irritating note: The first season does NOT include the 2 hour pilot episode. It begins with the first official episode, and Pete finding a body on the beach...

No word on if the pilot will ever be released either, AFAIK

EDIT: Apparently the pilot has been released, it's just extremely rare....I found it on amazon for as low as $89.99

Guess that one's gonna have to wait awhile....

Oh, and I found this....
www.petitiononline.com/tpdvdnow/petition.html

Anybody else gonna sign with me? ;) I'm #18534...

$90 for the Pilot?! Sheesh! I agree, they'll be holding that one a while if they wait for me to buy it.

I'm #18,540 - Thanks, Birdy!
