New movie: Babylon 5 "The Memory of Shadows" Casti

Post by pondhopper »

Hi, Everbody

For those who don't know, JMS is in the early stages of producing a new Babylon 5 movie for the BIG SCREEN titled "The Memory of Shadows". Diehard fans are concerned about a fact-based rumour that implies that old roles will be recast with NEW actors. A letter writing campaign has begun.

To find out all about it and get involved go to www.jmsnews.com/forums !

New actors in the old roles would be a travesty. B5 was the best crafted TV scifi series ever. JMS would be a fool to tamper with it.

:) It's being claimed that WB "suits" are trying to force JMS into recasting. We're just trying to aid him in his battle. Every letter helps !

JMS has been surprisingly quiet about this. It seems that, if this were false he could easily dismiss it, and if it's true, he is bound by the gag order.

jmsnews.net/msg.aspx?id=1-17259 - Sure looks like a gag order; usually, he's not THAT "Kosh-like".

Well JMS has stated in the past just how much he loathes re-casting a character (after Claudia Christian left B5), so you can bet he'll be fighting it with all he's got. What I do wonder is just how far he's willing to fight his producers nowadays, after losing Crusade to what was effectively a creative dispute.

A. Because proper tea is theft.
