You are lucky. Office Christmas parties are almost universally terrifying--if you're not careful, you'll end up spilling your guts to your worst enemy and giving them all sorts of power over you. 
I managed to avoid that this year by making sure she was drunker than I was. 
The good thing was, our party was in a ballroom at the Ritz. Talk about swank. I felt like a guppy in the neon tetra tank.

At Xmas my family got drunk and stoned (slightly anyways) and we all sang Karaoke. 
And at our work Xmas party the $11,000 bar tab went in four hours.

That's still a heckuva martini! There's a place nearby that serves 23 oz. Bloody Marys during their Saturday/Sunday brunch. There's nothing better than eggs, bacon, and a monster bloody mary at 1pm on a Sunday.
