La Femme Nikita

At last at last I have the first season of La Femme Nikita on DVD. This was a treasure trove Christmas. :D

All those who think the first season was the best, say Aye. Remember the episode called Love? Steamy scenes between Nikita and Michael, and Nikita knocks out a rapist with a gorgeous strategic kick. :twisted:

Then there's the episode called Innocent, the one where I discovered Maury Chaykin's talent. And Obsessed, where Nikita helps Michael seduce the wife of a sadistic weaponsmonger. And Mercy, end-of-season cliffhanger. And War, where Peta Wilson proves beyond a doubt her worthiness to play Morn in The Gap.

I sure hope they start issuing seasons again. I especially want Hard Landing and Psychic Pilgrim from the second season, and the fourth season Sympathy For the Devil, and so many others whose titles escape me...

The have LFN on dvd? Wow. That was a great show. I never got into it too much, but the emotional and ethical depths La Femme Nikita explored were amazing.

I agree, Peta Wilson would be a perfect Morn...

Alas, I don't even have the money to buy a season's worth of my ever-lasting favorite, Forever Knight. *sigh*

Yeah...I really enjoy La Femme Nikita. It's a fun show. The characters are great and the action is pretty good for a TV show. I watched it randomly when it was on TV...I could never remember what times it came on...heh. But yeah, I picked it up on DVD when it came out and I had a blast watching it... The DVDs are great since I was never really able to watch the thing from the begining.

Hehe, yeah, I guess Peta Wilson would make a good Morn. LFN was sure dark enough. I can see a lot of simularities between the characters of Morn and Nikita.

The actor who played Michael though was awesome...heh. I thought that character was great. Personally I thought it was so cool how he managed to keep the same expression on his face throughout the entire series...

We should watch some episodes sometime. Or you can just borrow them if you want.-jay

Roy DuPuis is amazing, yes. Underneath that deadpan face he is acting out deep emotions. The last scene of the fourth season was agonizing, even though his expression never changed. And did you see the scene in the church with Nikita, in the mini fifth season? OMG.

Jay, I never pictured yu as a LFN fan. Hehe, now I know who to scrounge dvd's from... ;)

What kind of person do you picture me as then? Well, I guess a non-Le Femme Nikita watcher, heh.

Hey, the show had great characters, good plot, and great action. What isn't to like? Heh.

What else has Roy DuPuis done anyway? I can't recall anything else he was in.

If he doesn't already, he should seriously start playing professional poker. He has the world's best poker face. No one could beat him.

I can't remember much of the later seasons of the show. It's been too long. I can only remember the stuff I recently saw on DVD...heh.

I've seen Million Dollar Babies. His last scene as father of the Dionne sextuplets was scary -- and again, all but his eyes was deadpan.

I remember him in Million Dollar Babies. He was creepy. Funny how he can play a range of roles despite having no actual range.

I absolutely loathed this program when it was on TV... only because Peta Wilson looks excatly like my bitch ex-girlfriend. No ... seriously. Teh only visible difference was that Sandra was much shorter.

I just felt like posting to bump this topic, since Season Three recently came out on DVD, and I've been watching it pretty much every day now, heh. Such a great show. And it's all because of the characters, which are awesome. I'm a big sucker for well done character development in my books and shows.-jay

I'm anxious for Season 4, which has Sympathy With the Devil, possibly my favorite episode. I like the guest star Stephen McHattie a lot (my choice for Holt Fasner), and Don Francks and Eugene Robert Glazer especially kick ass in that episode.
