Very Close! Unless it was released with a different title at some point the song is "So Alive" by Love and Rockets! Nice work. Your turn.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. I know that song as Jungle Law Brinn.... must have been released under that title at some stage...I checked a couple of sites and it is listed under that title....go figure :?

Anyway...mine isn't too hard :)

There is trouble in my mind
There is dark
There is dark and there is light
Lay you hands above my eyes
As I look deep
The valleys deep and wide
Across the borderline.......

No idea who sings it, but i'm pretty sure it's the Theme song to The Guardian, yes :?: :wink:
Stone and Sea are deep in life,
two unalterable symbols of the world;
permanence at rest, and permanence in motion;
participants in the Power that remains.

O.K.! :D Try this one...

Early one morning, the sun was rising, i was lying in bed
Wonderin' if she'd changed at all, if her hair was still red...

(Ohh, i'm definately showing my age, now :? :lol: )
Stone and Sea are deep in life,
two unalterable symbols of the world;
permanence at rest, and permanence in motion;
participants in the Power that remains.

OK- :)
What have they done to the Earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her,
stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn-
tied her with fences, and dragged her down.
I hear a very gentle sound, with your ear down to the ground.
We want the World and we want it NOW!

When the Musics Over...had 2 listen 2 3 CDs 2 get that 1...

try this:
The real world is not as calm as it appears to be from here
The small world is not as strong and the testing ground is near
The old world is not as safe as the one we could have seen
The great south land can be as great as the one it could have been
The one it could have been
fall far and well Pilots!

OK let me make this ezer 4 y'all, b4 I kill this thread again--here r the lyrics, again, sos u don't have 2 strain urself by clicking 2 the previous page :D :

The real world is not as calm as it appears to be from here
The small world is not as strong and the testing ground is near
The old world is not as safe as the one we could have seen
The great south land can be as great as the one it could have been
The one it could have been

Here is a clue: Infelice, Sky, Landwaster, possibly Vain and others from downunder should kno this group--They had a big hit w/another song in the early 90s--it's NOT INXS, AC/DC or Men @ Work. Now the group should b ez...if u guess the group and no1 can name the song by 2mrrw--it's ur turn...if u can do both, 2day u win 100 WGDs! 8O WOOHOO!
fall far and well Pilots!

Midnight Oil?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
