Thanks for the news, MAYOR. That donut is making me hungry. :)

My feeling about the title crawls is that the ones for A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back were the best. After that, they became a little lame (kind of like the films themselves).

In A New Hope, you had: "It is a period of civil war..." Ooohh!

In Empire, you had: "It is a dark time for the Rebellion..." Aaahh!

Then in Jedi, you got (I'll watch the DVD later to get the exact words): "Luke Skywalker meets with his Muppet friends on Tatooine to rescue Han from Jabba yada yada yada meanwhile Miss Piggy and Kermit..." Okay, I exaggerate, but my point is that they lost the epic feeling.

I only vaguely recall how the crawl begins for Phantom Menace...something about Canada-U.S. softwood lumber trade talks? Oh, sorry, it was the Trade Federation-Naboo Lumbering Jar-Jar Talks.

And I don't remember at all the crawl for Attack of the Clones. I'm guessing it had something to do with clones. :P

At least with Revenge of the Sith, it starts with a bang: "War!" That's more like it. :)

I thought it was pretty good . . . until I read General Grievous.

GENERAL GRIEVOUS????!!!!!

Sounds like a lame parody name from a SNL skit.

Why not just call him Colonel Catastrophic? Or Admiral Abominable?

Sheesh!!!! :Help:

:) I agree, "General Grievous" is a groaner. (Ha ha, say that 3 times quick!) Sometimes I think Lucas used up all his good names in the original trilogy.

Dooku sounds like another slang name for feces. Which may have been the point . . . but I doubt if Lucas is thinking enough for that. :P

Dooku was chosen because it's the word for poison in an Asian language, I believe Japanese. Doesn't make it any less silly though.

Our cable company has a channel called "on Demand" giving accesss to channels and movies when u want to watch. One section is for theatrical trailers and Sith is there. Really cool. Dark. Warry. All wrapped around a background sound of Vader's wheezing. Anything like the preview... wow.
Old man how is it that you hear these things?
Young man how is it that you do not?

Okay, I have a question. Is James Earl Jones gonna do the Darth Vader voice overs in "Sith"? I keep seeing his Verizon commercials, and his speech is beginning to slur....one of the many joys of getting old. Anyway, I'd still rather it be Jones than anybody else.
