Why thank you khatalenabwraith! Of course, you had to beat me over the head with a 2 x 4 before I got it... <grinning>

OK, here is one...

"This is the grace that has been given to you - to bear what must be borne."

Good try Khat! However, the quote comes from "The Illearth War" and is from someone very much alive! <grin>

[Oops first, I really meant the SECOND Chronicles not TWL]
Then Mr. K your quote actually is said twice in the series...
In WGW:
Mhoram to Linden:
"Linden Avery*'—he made her name sound curiously rough and gentle—"you gladden me. You are worthy of him. Never doubt that you may
justly stand with him in the trial of all things. You have given sorrow to the Dead. But when they have bethought themselves of who you are, they will be likewise gladdened. Only this I urge of you: strive to remember that he also is worthy of you."
Formally, he touched his palms to his forehead, then spread his arms wide in a bow that seemed to bare his heart. "My friends" he said in a voice that rang, "I believe that you will prevaill!"
[spoiler]"...the loveliness of the Land has only grown more precious to me as my senses have been
opened...To turn homeward now would be to pass from treasure-berries to dust."

Khat, you are absolutely correct! It *was* High Lord Mhoram in Andelain in WGW that said "My friends, I believe you will prevail!"

Whooohooooo!!!

It was also LORD Mhoram that said "It is as I have said, madness is not the only danger in dreams" on Gallows Howe in TIW, as they were witnessing High Lord Elena's death struggle.

YOU are on FIRE!!! :P

Your turn Khat! I stand ready.... <grinning>

This would be The Wounded Land. Brinn is telling Covenant (after the soothtell, at the gates of Revelstone) that Vain approached Linden Avery and touched her forehead, then bowed to her. At that point he said, "Yet he cast us aside as if we were not who we are..."

How did I do?

LOL Mr KABC!

That was in LFB - the Hirebrand of Woodhelvennin, Baradakas, had just "tested" TC with the lomillialor and TC was unprepared (and clumsy) when it was thrown at him. When TC first dropped it the woodhelvennin stated that "The High Wood rejects him. He is a wrong in the Land."
Then TC used the high wood to defend himself using his ring hand and shattered Baradakas' club. In TC's usual livid and angry manner he then said your quote: "Now why don't you tell me one more time about how this thing rejects me."

ok - figure this one out:
"Come on. Some of them want to try again. They might not let us leave."
[spoiler]"...the loveliness of the Land has only grown more precious to me as my senses have been
opened...To turn homeward now would be to pass from treasure-berries to dust."

Wow Khat... you are just TOO COOL!!! ;) You are absolutely correct.

OK, my guess about your quote is TWL, in the Sarangrave, Linden Avery saying this about the skest to the Questers.
"This is the grace that has been given to you - to bear what must be borne."
