A tasty little poem for you to enjoy...let me know.

My heart was as black as a demon's skin.
The tears in my eyes blurred my vision
I was drowning.
Yet, I could make out the figure and the color
of my arm resting on my leg.
A blanket of dark over my eyes and then,
a drop on my leg
My vision was clear again.
And I could breathe
I begged the tears to blurr what I could see.
I walked along the edge
waiting to fall
yet trusting that I would not, could not fall.
The pain, numbing my body as it floats
in the water below.
The chemicals acting and reacting from the organs
to the blood
to the skin
to the water
The eyes let out one last tear then Fixate
on the warm bright sun
A whisper in my ear, "Let your voice be heard!"
The throat engages
A gasp...perhaps a choke
The toes wiggle
The knees tickle
The arms reach
The fingers touch
Then I realize
a moment of truth
Life.

Powerful and engaging, flavored with a somber mood and dark emotive energy. I give it a ten!
"Fortunate circumstances do not equate to high ideals."

"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"
