Gah - I know I've heard that phrase, I just can't place it. Something makes me think it isn't Chrons...

Edit - I haven't looked it up yet, and I'm probably way off, but could it be from the Djinn that watches over the Accursed? It sounds like that particular narrative.

That phrase is from Findail. I am guessing WGW, on the Starfare's Gem, when Linden was interrogating Findail about the failure at the One Tree.

Mr. K you have the correct characters - wrong book and what they are discussing...

Gosh you are pretty good at this -- how many times have you read the Chronicles?

Thanks Khat!!! I have read the books more times than I can count... I read the first Chronicles when I was 12 or so... I was hooked! I used to ride my 10 speed to the mall to look for more TC books. Imagine my surprise when TWL appeared on the shelves!!!

OK... TOT Linden asking Findail about why he hadn't interceded with the fight in Bhrathairealm?

OHHHHH!!!! I know! I know! I know! I know!!!

Linden and Findail on the bow of Starfare's Gem during the storm - she was asking Findail to guide Grimmand Honninscrave through the storms, but Findail essentially said "too late" as he pointed toward the oncoming wall of water headed for the ship.

Am I right? :P

Well took me a bit of searching because I was thinking it was in the second chronicles....

Then I found it in the PTP. This is when TC has been taken to the Colossus of the Fall, his white gold ring taken from him, and all his friends are held in a frozen stasis while Elena holds the staff of law and his white gold to destroy the monolith that holds the Ravers at bay.

Triock is talking to TC after he has asked Foamfollower & Bannor to break the spell and fight it. Triock & his friends are all being mastered by Elena's will and the Staff. But They cannot be truly taken over like Triock has -- then again Triock does break out of his 'mastering' to help Covenant gain his ring back...

How's that MASTER K?

Guessing: Triock to Covenant at the Collossus (referring to Bannor and Foamfollower)?

(dammit, glitch in this thread - I couldn't see khat's post until I'd replied)

Yeah seems like this happens only in Mallory. Why don't you go ahead Murrin with a quote - - - Mr K, Drew & I seem to be vollying turns in this for a while...

Very well. I feel like breaking tradition and posting non-TC, but that'd probably rule out a lotta people from guessing, so for now here's a TC one:

"This will become a place of ill. We must flee."

I will wait a day before I give answer - we need to have more watchers play this game!

<Unless it is best I answer now> -- This is only easy because after I read Runes (for Christmas) I began re-reading the two Chronicles...
