Is Covenant hot?

Post by BraulioB »

What is the deal with this guy? Chicks were falling all overthemselves to be with him.

1) Lena
2) Manethrall Gay / Manethrall Rue
3) Elena
4) Linden
5) Lady Alif (the one tree)

What's the deal?

Either he was the "mysterious type" and Land women found that uber-attractive, or his white gold was a chick magnet, much like the Batmobile.

Dark and brooding, boys, dark and brooding. They saw a man suffering and they wanted to help him.

He acted like a big dick to the ladies. That seems to be attractive to some women.. nice guys end up in the Friend Zone, while the jerks end up being the drunken, wife-beating absentee father to their kids.

Well he is the 2nd coming of Berek, he is the Fruedian dad, he is lost in the lonely world of self-recrimination and he is an anomoly...most of all he is the "Golden Boy" :P Who's to say that he wasn't good looking before his leprosy? Even hot, superficial, Joan thought so originally... :-|

I think it all comes down to the qoute --- in legend attributed to Henry Kissinger
[no great idol for SRD] --- which was used by Oliver Stone in his movie "Nixon".
It goes like this:

Kissinger and Nixon are sitting with Mao during the historic visit to China in 1972.
Mao turns to Kissinger and says:
"What I really want to know is how does a fat guy like you manage to get so many young girls".
The unflappable Secretary of State answers:
"Power, Mr. Chairman, is the ultimate aphrodisiac".

And don't forget the ever lame,

"Care to take a ride on the wild magic?"

Heh...ok, that was bad.

Hm...I guess I need to pencil more brooding into my schedule.-jay

No kidding. Look at Triock. Or for that matter, both Foamfollower and Mhoram. Nicest guys in the Land, and no play.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Foamy and Mhoram didn't want to be tied down, Syl; they enjoyed the unfettered single life.

At the risk of being accused of pr0nning, I will suggest that Foamy and Mhoram may not have wanted to be tied down, but they might not have objected to being tied up.

(Sorry.)
Halfway down the stairs Is the stair where I sit. There isn't any other stair quite like it. I'm not at the bottom, I'm not at the top; So this is the stair where I always stop.

Angry man, dark mien, lots to say, a man of passion yet helpless. What woman could resist him, despite his obvious skin problem! :

Hmm...Thanks for the disturbing image of Lord Mhoram performing a Ritual of pr0nification upon a strapped down, albeit grinning, Foamfollower.
