Various tracks by Air. Someone on the network has a couple albums, and after hearing Alone In Kyoto I decided to see if there was anything else good - I don't like all their stuff, but they have a few worth hearing.

For some reason I've started making short compilation CDs. I did one last night, and I'm working on another now (listening through to see if there're any weak spots). I'm sure they sound terrible to anyone but me.
I have a bad habit of using songs by the same band too often (either on a single CD or between CDs).

I think this month will be mostly comprised of Brahms piano music--until Beethoven's comes in the mail. ;)

Yay! Beethoven's last 5 piano sonatas came in! Ahhhhhh

Update: Beethoven's very last sonata, Opus 111, uses some rhythms that aren't picked up again until jazz (2nd movement--around 6:30)! Amazing!

8) Good choice.

I've been listening to Power Ballads II. "Dear god no!" you might think, but it features such classics as Alice Cooper's Poison and Toto's Hold the Line :D

Auf der Maur by Auf der Maur. It's impressive for someone who I always assumed got into bands by being both pretty and able to hold a bass. Hardly surprising when you consider the calibre of the other musicians involved (Chris Goss, Josh Homme, James Iha and Mark Lanegan to name but a few), but MAdM has written some really nice songs here.

A. Because proper tea is theft.
