Uhhh... any chance you could scan a pic, or link to an existing one? I would very much like to see the Drool Rockworm pic.

I remember descriptions such as "long, thin legs", "dull witted", "gangling", "head like a battering ram", "laval eyes", "hands like shovels" to describe Cavewights. Also, in the first Chronicles, they used broadswords as weapons. In the second, they used truncheons (like the London police?).

I don't think we'll ever see an "Official" drawing of the Land's characters and landscape. SRD has stated many times that he prefers that readers use their own imagination on how they percieve what a person or being looks like. The same thing for the Land's landscape. I did see a neat photo in the photo album here of a cavewight and it looked pretty much like the description of one. Its in the TCTC album page 2 listed as Drool Rockworm.

I always thought as James Earl Jones voice as Lord Fouls but that would be to much Star Wars. I don't think Darth Vader would come back as the Despiser. I don't know if you know about this but there is an Atlas of the Land out in the book stores?

I notice the Dutch title 'Het Gewonde Land' (The Wounded Land).

Does this mean that Linden, in the Dutch version, is Alice in Gewonde-Land?

Cool, Blackhawk. Even in the small avatar version it looks good. I'm waiting to see a larger one.....

(first post) Looking forward to all and any art that is associated with SRD's The Land. I read something about disappointment in DKS's covers? To me they are by far the best artwork available to actually see. There are a few more artists that have done some coverwork but nothing as descriptive as Sweets work (imho). Well to each there own, I hope that somewhere there is some great artwork out there for The Land.

I actually have about 3 or 4 Land related Images i created with Vue d Esprit, Terragen, Bryce and Photoshop..oh and Poser for Linden Avery and the Staff was created using strata 3-D. one involves Linden Avery, one is a Giantship coming down the channel of woodenwold or elemnesdine or Rawedge rim... kind of a viewer decision on what to make of it. and then the birth to the isle of the one tree. then the one i had been working on for 8 months or so when i had some spare time was the "The Land 2008". I will post those here, seeing that SRD actually has a link to this website on his own webpage makes this to me an extension of SRDs own website. if the admins like them you will probably be able to see them in the users artwork gallery. also if you want to see the Map at a slightly higher quality visit the website in my profile. it has a link back to KW at the top of my page under the banner.

If you're willing to share, and the album doesn't work, then let me know. I'd be happy to setup something that will work :)

It seems to be based very strongly on the map from The Land website. Link

Putting on my Simon hat: there're a few things on that map that I'd disagree with.
