Fatal Revenant

Post by pat5150 »

Hi guys!

I'm new here, so I'm not sure if there is information concerning this question elsewhere. If there is, I'm sorry for double-posting!

Just wanted to know if there is a tentative release date for FATAL REVENANT.

I absolutely loved THE RUNES OF THE EARTH, and can't wait for the sequel. I'm trying to generate some interest pertaining to SDR and the Covenant novels. If you feel like it, check out my blog and leave a comment on my review of Donaldson's latest book. People know that I'm already sold, but if enough "strangers" comment on how they enjoy the Covenant books, hopefully we can get the ball rolling to get a new generation of readers to enjoy the adventures of our favorite leper! :D

Hmmm, I had hoped that we could perhaps get in sooner... With the long hiatus Donaldson took, I dared hope that he was well under way when he sold the rights to this last series. Alas, we will have to wait, it seems!

Hiatus? But he's been writing constantly since the end of the second chronicles. Mordant's Need, The Gap, and the four Mick Axebrewer novels. He's been busy as. 8O

In saying that, I too wish we didn't have to wait. :(

I feel bad for SRD...with all of us just waiting and waiting, he must be pretty stressed out to make this book as magnificent as we all tink his other books are!

Now we have to hope that SDR stays healthy and whole while he finishes the series. I think we should petion him to speed up the release dates of the rest of the series. After all its not like hes going to lose any of his audience by banging out a book a year. Lets here from others who feel this way and see if we cant rush this along.

Ahh, but would you really want that? The books to be rushed?
Is it the story that we want?
Or is it SRD's writting?
Somewhere on his GI someone asked him that if they were dying of a disease would he tell them the ending.
SRD said, "Yes" even though that person could be lying and just can't wait until the end.
SRD then asked, it that would be enjoyable, just to know the ending, or know the whole plot.
Although it's like slow aganising torture waiting...there are reasons. The book tours for example..but they are nessesary too.
Since he has read the first 12 pages recently, I think we can assume that the writting process is up to pace...it's all the other junk we'll have to wait on.
