Fantasy Bedtime Hour

Post by jelerak »

OK...

So probably many of you have probably already seen this website, but I went to it for the first time last night.

www.fantasybedtimehour.com

For those of you who have not had a chance to check this out, or do not know what this website is about...all that I can say is that if you are a fan of Thomas Covenant, you absolutely have to go to this site to see what this is about.

Absolutely hilarious. And my poor wife just looked at me and wondered why the hell that I was laughing out loud. She will never understand, but that is her loss.

I will say little more on the matter, words cannot exactly describe in fairness what this is about. To see for yourself is all that I can suggest.

Fantasy Bedtime Hour is hilarious. However, you can tell the love for the books they really have. SRD has referenced the FBH site himself, so he must see the parody/love mix himself.
Oh yes, I CAN hope... for an early release of the next TC book!

Yes, Julie and Heatherly are great! I've been hooked ever since I downloaded Episode 2...that's the one with the first appearance of the line "Don't touch me! I'm a leper!".

I was in San Francisco on vacation a couple weeks ago and got to be a co-expert on the show...I'm the guy stammering his way through the last half of Episode 24. (I was a little nervous at first but I loosened up some after I'd had a few glasses of "diamondraught". I'm especially proud of a scene near the end, right after the chart-drawing sequence... |R)

They have trouble finding guest experts sometimes, so you should definitely drop them a line if you've got plans to be in San Francisco this year...they've got about 10 episodes to go before they hit the end of the book.

Here's a link to the history behind the show:

I wonder how someone who has not read the Chronicles would react if they stumbled upon that site!

The funiest was when they were trying to figure out the math from Foul's message...and it worked out to 22 000 years.

I really got a kick out of their take on when Kevin lost the Staff of Law '10 times 100 years ago'.

What (and how) they can read into the lines is almost genius.

I will never be able to read past that passage of Lord Foul's Bane again without reliving in my mind the 'Annual Ritual of Desecration' events.

Hilarious!!!

Haha, I've spent the last few days watching it. :D

I find the two girls exceedingly annoying, but the re-enactments are by far one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time...

Episode 25 is out...I think it's got one of the best re-enactments they've done. The high point is the "Tail of the Sky; Mane of the World" song from Chapter 17. If you've ever wondered what the melody to that song is, this is your chance to find out.

Also, I just put a three-minute clip from Episode 24 up on my website: extraordinary-popular-delusions.com/gal ... H/proposal. This is from my appearance as a guest expert...I thought this scene worked pretty well but I'm interested in hearing what other people think about it...

Hey, this is from SRD.COM:
I've just returned from San Francisco, where I participated in an episode of "Heatherly and Julie's Fantasy Bedtime Hour" (www.fantasybedtimehour.com, fantasybedtimehour@hotmail.com). I won't bother to post showtimes, since the show is only broadcast on public access cable in San Francisco and Portland, Maine. However, episodes are available free from the FBH web site. I'll be in episode 27, which I imagine will become available by mid-August or so. Those who have not experienced FBH might wish to indulge themselves in a real treat (any episode will do).

Higgens O'Higgens

Episode 27 is on-line.

fantasybedtimehour.com/episodes/EP27.php

This month's expert is Tadgh O'Higgens father; Higgens O'Higgens. That's him in the third photo on the page. It's strange; he looks familiar but I can't remember where I've seen him...

I watched that episode over the weekend, and had to put the "lecherous old man" shot of SRD in my sig file.

My favorite line from this episode: the guy playing TC is arguing with Foamfollower and responds with "I don't know what the f*ck you're talking about, Giant!" with this hilarious leer on his face.

It's a great show.
