Brazil cantaloupe croquet-mallet

Meanwhile, in Brazil, our courageous hero was busy fending off an attack by a villainous gang of fruit growers. He had tracked them down using a weapon of their own creation, a satellite-linked cantaloupe with amphibious assault capabilities. With the aid of his nuclear croquet-mallet, cleverly disguised as a cufflink, he was able to pulp the ringleader, The Big Apple, before he fell victim to the boss' dreaded cobbler attack.

billowing gnarled lee

The ship glided onwards, its sails billowing in the strong winds. Meanwhile, below deck, a gnarled old man told the same old story: "I knew Bruce Lee when he was just a nipper..."

Alternating Jump Harbinger

Many yards away from the house, a bolt of lightning struck a high-tension line carrying alternating current. At the house, crackling blue sparks began to jump from the breakers on the circuit panel. A jagged buzzing sound made for a brief and ominous ominous harbinger of the electrical doom that was to follow.

carabiner chagrin mellifluous

Sweat dripping from his face as he scaled the rocky face, Derrick kept his eyes fixed on the ledge above, the ledge that offered an opportunity to rest and devour one of the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches the other climbers had taunted him about. His body jolted as the rope suddenly slackened. There was a sharp pinging as the carabiner, its metal faulty due to slack factory regulations, shattered.

Derrick had time for a few seconds of chagrin as he plummeted to the base, many, many feet below. Immediately after the impact, which was horrifically painful--though not for long, Derrick heard the mellifluous voice of his great-great-great-grandmother. "Stupid boy. You are years ahead of schedule. Just like your great-great-great-grandfather....not content to keep his feet on the ground...always the thrill seeker..."

hoyden, polyester, zoology

Patty was a wll-intentioned girl, though a bit of a hoyden. Resplendent in her polyester pants, flannel shirt, and very sensible shoes, she always sat at the front of our biology class. Her biggest interest was in zoology, but her motivations were the constant subject of vicious rumour, as her attention was always riveted on Miss Summers, the teacher.

Let's refresh the game rules.
Loremaster wrote:To play the sentence game, someone writes three words (any words, don't have to be connected) and another person has to place those words in three sentences (each word to a sentence). The sentences have to relate to each, as in a very short story. The challenge is for someone to get three words that would be hard to make a story with. Oh and you can only use three sentences.

chafe winsome granulated

Simon began to chafe at the delay. The fingers of his winsome waitress wavered between two containers. “I said, granulated, not powdered!” he gritted, lifting his coffee cup.

woven sloop basso

The sailors had woven together the remants of older sails in order to make a sail for the ship's single mast. In time, hopefully by midday, the sloop would be able to catch the afternoon breeze. Finishing this, the basso-voiced captain intrsucted the men to hoist the sail up the lean mast.

diapason mathematics misnomer

A clear diapason rang out over the crowd. With the purity of mathematics and the frenzy of devotion, a chorus of twenty thousand voices answered the call. To call it harmony would have been a misnomer -- this was epiphany.

indebted elision flip

Constance was indebted to Charlemange for arbitrating the vocal snafu that nearly caused the collapse of the Empire. It was all due to a minor elision during negotiations for governmental establishment amongst the border regions. The flip attitude used in speaking the local vernacular could easily have turned the whole procedeings over.

The Minister of Trade patted himself on the back for another feat of prestidigitation. In one sly roquet, he had bolstered England’s wool trade for the year. A huge shipment of krimmer rested in the import warehouses under the label “Lost Luggage”.

obsequy vermillion grith

Don Carlos looked monstrously out of place for an obsequy. His black garb was swathed in a huge cloak of vermillion silk. Only the grith of the cathedral altar prevented the grieving relatives from taking vengeance on his indecent glee.

Tungsten Sunder Cosmonaut

When the shipment of tungsten steel came in, work on the new ship could continue. To have a vital link sunder during liftoff is every NASA crewman’s nightmare. If this planned mission, with its team of heroic astronaut and cosmonaut, went awry through inadequate materials, there would be mourning the world over.

The other day I was playing with my dog, Sienna.
I should insert a subtitle here, since she really is my dog.
I had to try to convince her that her image in the mirror was not an apparition.
