Downloading music

Do you do it legally, illegally, or not at all? I use Ares, which I'm assuming is illegal since it's free

Oh didn't they crack down on that too? You must have gotten it before they legalized it, then?

I guess so... There's a thing that pops up all the time asking if we want to upgrade to a newer version....I always tell it no. I just had this feeling... :evilfoul:

Before I left, I was still using Kazaa to dl mp3s.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I'm legal. I'm using Apple's Music Store. Not that I'm against free downloadable music, I'm not. Just that I don't do all that much music downloading, so the artists might as well get a cut.

I use Kazaa... I used to use iMesh, but it put all sorts of casino crap on my computer.

Audiogalaxy was the greatest... and then the poor thing got shut down. *sob*

I'm not sure how I feel about music downloading. It has lead me to buy some CD's that I wouldn't have otherwise... but lately I'm kinda in the "Why don't I just download those songs, put them in the right order and there I go" mode... :?

I have Kazaa, but don't use it much - the odd single here and there, but when it comes to albums I prefer to buy the real thing. Movies, on the other hand...

It's pretty simple. The homepage, I believe, is softgap.com/ares and cnet.com is a downloading site that I use to get new programs.
