Clone Wars on DVD
The animated short series Clone Wars (Vol I) came out on DVD this week. Has anyone else seen it, or perhaps you saw it on Cartoon Network some time ago? Personally I think they're pretty good.

I think they're awesome!!! I taped them when they were on, but bought the dvd. SO much great stuff! My favorite is probably the two-part Mace Windu. FINALLY, we see a Jedi who knows how to use the Force to its fullest. At least in battle.
And I love the end of the episode after that one, where the two women are in the caverns where the lightsaber crystals are. As what seems to be the entire planet falls onto them, they go completely zen. Kneel and meditate, absolutely nothing on their minds except Hold the rocks up. No thought of how long they can do this impossible feat. No thought of how long they'll have to do it before someone comes to rescue them. If you think, you're dead. Just do it. Much like Yoda's, "Do. Or do not. There is no 'try.'"

I saw the cartoons on sale at Wal-Mart yesterday. I didn't give it a second thought not knowing what the quality of the animation and story might be since I don't have cable at the moment and therefore cannot watch anything on the cartoon network. Thanks to this discussion I may give Clone Wars a shot.

Clone Wars also fills us in on things that happened between Episodes II and III. Lucas discusses it on the dvd, so I guess it's actually part of the movies' continuity. Characters introduced there are in Ep III, and the Ep III book has references to stuff that happened in the cartoon.
