Bath or Shower?

Post by Worm of Despite »

I'm a shower man myself. I only use the bathtub if it meets two of two conditions:

1) It's large.

2) It's a Jacuzzi.

Otherwise, it's too much of a hassle. It's just easier to use the shower (for me, anyway). With the bathtub there's lots of maneuvering because you're either laying down or sitting up, but with the shower you can rotate 360 degrees and even dance.

Now, being completely immersed in hot water is fun and decadent, yes, but I think the pros of the shower outweighs that.

i usually take showers, as they are a lot faster. But on the rare occasions I have time to pamper myself, I prefer a long soak in a hot bath. :)

I like showers most of the time, but baths are good for laying in and reading and such, assuming I don't go in klutz-mode and drop the book in with me.

Showers are also quite fun with those of the opposite sex, but that's something I won't get in.

That is very true. 8) But baths under those circumstances are even better.

All things considered, the water bill is lower for showers than baths... unless, of course, you spend 45 minutes in the shower.

Because I have a very large hot water heater I sometimes shower, then sit in the bath tub-all in one session!Yes I know this is wasteful, but I only do it on my days off.

Shower for me.
I don't have the time, patience, or the small size required to fit in the tub.
Plus, I don't want to soak in the dirt of my workday. I much rather like it to wash right down the drain.

Why won't you elaborate? I don't understand. How can anything beat the fun of sharing your bath water with a rubber duckie?

What about sharing a bath with a Foul Duckie?

I voted for "shower" before I saw "I like rice". I still probably would've picked "shower," but I kind of wish I'd had the laugh first.

Anyway.

Once upon a time, about 20 years ago, I lived in an apartment that had no shower, only a bathtub. It was such a pain to wash my hair in the tub that I refused to take a bath again until just a couple of years ago.

Showers for when I'm dirty, baths for when I want to lounge.
