Marriage Proposals
yes, im 19, and no i dont plan on proposing yet, but i would like to hear any ideas you all have had on a romantic, memorable way to propose to a girl. you know, the kinds that a girl can NOT say no to. i have my own ideas which are pretty good, but id love to see any ways that other people have maybe experienced, seen, or thought of.

* banner that says "Marry Me ____" hoisted across the rail of a walkway that spans the freeway that she travels on every day
* skydiving.... she's in the plane and when you jump and open your parachute the words "Marry Me" are written on your chute
* diamond ring in a glass of champagne (oldie but a goodie)
* employ someone to sky write the words "Marry Me" while you are out having a romantic picnic
* Have the words "Marry Me" written on the bottom of the boat that you take her scuba diving in so that she can see them once you are underwater.
* You are both in the middle of a crowded shopping mall sitting down eating lunch. You get up on the table and sing Be My Baby very loudly and then get down on your knee and propose.
Gimme a couple of minutes and I'll think of some more.

yes...definately good strategies...if you can afford them. I don't think it necessarily has to be that extravagant. Anywhere public will do. Or private works too....but a girl likes it if you're willing to risk the public humiliation of a refusal.

During the Super Bowl XXXVIII, have your bride-to-be buy some Cracker Jacks. It just so “happens” that inside the box is a “toy“: an, ahem, diamond ring. Then, when she looks up at the huge screen in the stadium it says in giant, bright letters: “WILL YOU MARRY ME (your name here)?”. Upon that, a cameraman will center on her face, as the stadium and everyone else watches via worldwide direct video feed. You win.
Either that or carpet-bombing.

Buy some safe, non toxic washable paints and some nice soft artist brushes. I think I used acrylic craft paints. Set your/her bedroom up for a nice romantic evening...Dim the lights or shut them off, light some scented candles, put on some romantic music and break out some old, soft comfortable sheets. I say old because they're gonna get a little messy! An hour or so before, heat the paint bottles using hot water much like you would do to massage oil. Blind fold your girl and get her into her birthday suit. If you're gonna propose to this girl you should probably have no trouble getting her naked and hopefully she trusts you enough to blindfold her. Lay her on the bed (Face up or down...your choice but I think it's more effective if she's face up) and begin to paint your proposal using the warm paints brushes and your fingers...the feeling is very sensual and erotic especially since she'll be blind-folded focusing completely on the feel of the warm paint and brushes on her skin. when you're done remove the blindfold and let her view your creation and message in a mirror. I did this about 5 years ago for Valentines day and my then girlfriend said it was the best Valentines day card she ever got. I painted a rainbow with stars and hearts on her with a big "I Love You!" on it. Just remember to paint any words in reverse so that when she sees herself in a mirror the words won't be backwards. Cleaning her up afterwards is also alot of fun (think hot steaming shower) and after that I'll leave the rest to your imagination!

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Well, i waited till she asked me!
Not very traditional, i know, but youve gotta remember: i'm essentially a very, very, very lazy man!

permanence at rest, and permanence in motion;
participants in the Power that remains.
