Beautiful day--morning doves on the wires and a roadrunner shot across my front yard earlier. About 60 degrees with deep blue skies. I've been feeding (changing) and playing with Izaac and Adrian and watching cartoons. I swear I've got to get cable--not just for MNF but--for the Cartoon Network: these Fox Anime Mew Mew, Winx, One Piece, Pokeyman things are too weird for words. What these baby boyz need is a solid dose of Buggs! :D And I can actually type again after 3 weeks as my finger seems to really be knitting and healing rather than dangling in the splint like so much dead meat--yuk :P

You know, Danlo -- I have loads of toys (a lot of trucks for a sandbox & stuff like that) that the kids have outgrown I would be happy to wash them up, box them up, and send them to you if you would like them. Tons of little kids' videos, too. 8) I fyou want them just let me know. :D

Last night was interesting. Our wrestling club sponsored a take-down tournament in our high school. Take-down tournaments are said to be a lot harder than regular wrestling, and now I can see why. The kids take each other down again and again and again, and it is completely exhausting. I have never seen so many middle school kids cry at one time in my life. They were exhausted. My younger son got so angry at my husband he was crying -- he was bracketed in an older age group, with heavier kids. The thing is, as a national championship qualifier, he would have played with the kids his own age and weight like a tiger with a mouse. He still came in second, as it was, and still played with some of the other kids. But he's young enough that he sees the unfairness to himself, but not the other kids yet. So I had to deal with him being so upset. I finally tracked down the high school senior that medaled at high school states this year and his dad -- and they said that Adam had to go through the same sort of thing at the same age, and that helped calm my son down.

Another middle school kid got dumped on me by another parent who was crying hysterically. It took some time, but I finally figured out that he was upset because his parents were not there, he had no money to buy food, and he was very hungry. So with a bit of money, and a meal, he was quite happy.

I actually won the 50-50 raffle drawing! I never win stuff like that!! Of course, since it was a fund raiser for our club, I gave my half of the money back. Why can't I win something like that in another club's building, so I can keep the money? :|

We raised hundreds (might be thousands) of dollars last night between the tournament and the pig roast that took place at the same time. The money will go to scholarships for the middle schoolers and high schoolers to go to wrestling camp this summer, and for uniforms for the elementary aged kids. 8) :D

In about an hour we will heading out for a very nice hotel with a great inddor/outdoor swimming pool. It should be a blast swimming outside, since its snowing today!!! 8) 8) 8)

The hot tub will be great, too!!! :D :D :D :D :D
Love as thou wilt.

Feeling great! I will start writing my novel series any month now and I am about to move home to live with a good friend. Things are going well at work - life is good again!

In the middle of a decent spring snow storm this morning. Decided to come home after eating brunch instead of going to the Zoo. Got to have snowball fights in our swimsuits next to the pool this morning.

Tired, and I have a headache. Just finished unpacking and sorting my stuff out in my room, which I'll be in for yet another ten weeks then never have to see again.

Blah. Some schoolwork is over, but more remains. I'd say I can't wait for summer, but: (1) I hate summer, and (2) it means that summer sessions start, so I get more schoolwork. Is fall here yet?

Still moderatly squishy; somewhat tepid, in need of a blanket. Or someone to cuddle with. But, blankets are the only thing I have on hand at the moment...

*wanders off to fetch one*

I'd be more squishy if I didn't accidentally spill tea all over myself and, more importantly, my bed, and my Ultimate Hitchiker's Guide. That was the suck.

After putting my blankets in the wash, very thoroughly drying the bits of the book that got tea on them, and taking a shower (As, well, having sugary tea spilt all over you lends to much stickiness), I'm much more pleasant.

Except for my hair drying. That takes six hours. Damn it being so long and thick.

...Cookies!! *wanders off to fetch THOSE*

Typing from the school comp. Just had my art final. Was easy, but sure was tedious. I felt relieved when I finished it; it involved lots of writing (two essay questions and such junk).

I just finished doing my 30 minute jog, so I'm feeling better. Going to go home now and fix some breakfast. All I have to do is write one small essay and add two more pages to my final report (as well as two peer-reviewed citations). After that, it's summer break, baby! Four months of absolute nothing (unless you count video game playing and movie watching as something)! Ciao!

I am feeling good today despite my itchy sunburn. I went to Alex's baseball game on Saturday and underestimated the uv-ness or the day. My legs are burned from the shorts line down to the tops of my feet that were exposed through my sandels and my arms from the t-shirt sleeves down.

For several weeks I was penciling in private pity parties. It is not as much fun to share a pity party. Somehow it takes some of the pity out of it. Anyway, pity party time is over. Nick turned 4 and he is finally using the toilet. Well... at least to pee in. ALex had her First Communion so I got that monkey of my back. Puppy training classes are over... and she did granduate. Another thing done.

Oh... I got a digital camera from my b-day so pics will be coming as soon as I can get my lazy butt to install the software. Hmm... my butt is not that talented. I guess my lazy hands will have to do it.

I have decided to open my own child care business. Most of my experience is in teaching, so I feel I should do what I do best. I am looking into grants and if anyone knows a fabulously weathy person who donates for charitiable organization, please step forward. lol I want to make my school preschool to age 12. It will be a private preschool accepting government assistance. Also private kindergarten, before/after school care and homeschooling support network. I want to make it handicapped accessable to accept kids like my goddaughter (who is 16 and I would like to give her a summer job there) with cerebal palsey. Also offer classes for blind children. I already have 2 certified teachers that are good friends who want to work there as well as a homeschooling mom with contacts with teachers for the blind. I have found a resource for grants.

gota go.... serious lightning and thunder,.

That sounds awesome SQ! Glad to hear it!

Was feeling depressed after posting in the "Home" topic... damned sentimental b*****ds, the lot of you ;) , making me feel all depressed and abnormal with my love of horses and privacy. Felt much better after reading SoulQuest's post.

I'm going to go enjoy the rest of my "alone" time before I have to go to work. :P :P

Frustrated because everything is not running smoothly from one concentrated project to the next. Things keep mixing themselves up so I jump from a book to a website to a disappearing friend to an ebook that won't print to a ...

Well, to a solitaire game. But I have an excuse! Honestly, I have an excuse!

Waiting for a resend of the ebook... and 135 pages left to go in a review book, and negotiating over a new banner for the website...
