I used to have a copy of Electric Aunt Jemimah by Zappa. He was a musician's musician. I had a problem even playing the rhythm of his compositions. Very intelligent and a genius musically, but nothing musical that I could whistle going down the street. :)
"Do you have a wife?"
"At one time."
"What happened to her?"
"She has been dead."
"How long ago did she die?"
"Two thousand years."

Hmm.... I love classical. Also jazz. People I dance with try to convince me to flip the order, but... it's still classical, then jazz.

Brahms is my favorite composer. When it comes to composers I enjoy, it all leads up to Brahms and goes downhill from there. :)

Oh well... classical music, like literature, is one of the few places where being dead is an asset. (Kinda like, how, saying that Donaldson's as good as dead is a compliment. :) )

Man I just saw 1 of the toughest pieces of classical music ever played. I've heard it b4 but 2 see the New York Symphony Orchestra do it on PBS was unbelievable. (the ending of course is synonomus with Can-Can) Orpheus in the Underworld by Jacques
Offenbach. WOW! Incredible! (one wrong note and it's all over! 8O )

I love classical, though I have a harder time with opera. My favorite song has to be "Rhapshody in Blue" by Geshwin., though I also love the Peer Gynt Suite.
Dandelion don't tell no lies
Dandelion will make you wise
Tell me if she laughs or cries
Blow away dandelion

I'm afraid there's no denying
I'm just a dandelion
a fate I don't deserve.
