what is that supposed to be on the Illearth war?
Garrotting deep?
Dooms Retreat?
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.

I always thought it was Garroting Deep, with the bare mound in the middle Gallows Howe.

I always thought it was Triock and Foamfollower on the cover, preparing for the summoning.

Also, has anyone noticed that the US Runes cover almost seems to match up with that series as well???

I always assumed it was Triock as well. I have the first edition paperbacks...and I really like those covers. Along with the orginal hardcovers. The ones for the first chrons are really good. But the covers for the 2nd need much to be desired. The Wounded Land cover would be good if they didn't have Brinn toting a sword....sheesh :?
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

I believe that Gallows Howe is actually described as bare, due to the deaths that have occured poisoning the earth.

Doom's Retreat would have been much narrower and steeper, I think.

Don't forget the Daisy Dukes he's wearing, hands clutched to his face as if he was scared silly.

Weird covers there guys...they certainly have changed...

The ones I read are the paperback editions from 1983(US)
Except for WGW which is in Hardback.

I've kind of grown fond of the covers I've seen since I was 3 years old..lol
Brian: Who cured you?
Ex-Leper: Jesus did, sir. I was hopping along, minding my own business, all of a sudden, up he comes, cures me! One minute I'm a leper with a trade, next minute my livelihood's gone. Not so much as a by-your-leave! "You're cured, mate." Bloody do-gooder.
Brian: Well, why don't you go and tell him you want to be a leper again?
Ex-Leper: Uh, I could do that sir, yeah. Yeah, I could do that I suppose. What I was thinking was I was going to ask him if he could make me a bit lame in one leg during the middle of the week. You know, something beggable, but not leprosy, which is a pain in the @$$ to be blunt and excuse my French, sir.
