Some of the generic names are cimetidine and ranitidine.
Hope that will help.
Perhaps a visit to another doctor might be in order? No one should have to live in constant discomfort if ti can be easily avoided...
It's the weekend! Lovely sun outside, really warm, up in the 60's, running around in shorts and a skimpy shirt doing errands today.
And Star Wars tonight! Yay!

Damn. No idea what they're called in the Uk. Go with duchess's generics if you can. Otherwise, try for indigestion pills--not kaopectate or anything, but the longer-term stuff.CovenantJr wrote:ThanksIf I could identify any of those medicines, I might try one

This may sound like a stupid question--but did your doc test you for food allergies?CovenantJr wrote:Good news: The doctor now thinks my continuous stomach pain and nausea isn't appendicitis.

A friend of mine ate the same things all her life, and one day after being taken to the hospital for stomach pains and passing out, was told she had tons of food allergies.
Even though the food never affected her before, it now did.
Just food for thought. (Also--I had one, and I know that constant nausea and stomach pains can be caused by an ulcer.)
I would definately find a different doctor if the doc has "no idea" and expects you to live with it.
"Hey doc, it hurts when I do this."
Doc: "Well, don't do that."
Not a very good answer, hey?
Regardless, I hope you can feel better soon. Stay away from tomatoes.

Feeling pretty good. Won't have to go back to school till June 6th. Waiting for Barnes and Noble to call and tell me that this has come in:

Edit, a few hours later: Feeling very amused, now. A moth is perched up close to the light of my LCD screen. I thought it was dead but it's just completely still, entranced by the light. A nice-sized moth, too. A pet, perhaps! What do moths eat?

I feel pretty embarassed, actually.
With all the stress that my fiancee and I are going through trying to get the condo ready for sale, and taking care of the multidues of appointments and piles of paperwork for the new house, we have been bickering incessantly, and are constantly at each other's throat.
I just wish at the exact moment the arguing starts I could relax and not counter with silly bickerings. It always ends with "I love you, we are forever." But I am embarrased that I don;t start like that lately.

Stress can do weird things to people. When the stress lessens, I'm sure things will be better.
Back's a bit sore today from all of the digging and weeding yesterday, but nothing some naprosyn won't take care of.
Five more work nights and then I can have a mini-break.
Can't wait to get down to the beautiful Kentucky mountains next weekend!

We've rented a cabin in the woods at Cumberland Falls State Park for next weekend. I can't wait to go hiking...but it will be so quiet and peaceful there, I won't care even if it rains all weekend long.

Hooray! I don't have to work today!
We're getting a new computer program at work, and the backup of the old system took so long they hadn't even started installing the new one last night. I got all my essential work done over the weekend
, so now I can have a little fun and variety.

I'm not getting a new computer program, but a new computer. Just me, though. I'm here. The tech guys are not. Bah! I stayed awake all night specifically so I knew I'd be awake to show up early... and they're not here. Bah! I say.

Depends on the kind of moth. There are some moths that feed only on tears.....Clarice. Other moths don't eat at all once they've reach the adult stage. Most feed on nectar, or anything else they can suck up through their probosci, like the juicy parts of rotting things. Yum.Lord Foul wrote:Edit, a few hours later: Feeling very amused, now.
