Okay--so you have Ares? If you do, and want music, go to the "Search" tab, and do a search for whatever it is that you want...there will probably be different versions of one song that you want, so go to the far right where there are stars, the more stars the more reliable the download will be. To check on how your download's going, go to the "Transfer" tab.

You should download winamp (www.winamp.com) You can put all the music you download into a handy little playlist. Then if you wanna make cd's right click on the list and open with media player and copy to the cd. Anyhow, that's how I do it. I'm sure if that's the best way to go about it. But it works.

How do you make MP3 cd's?

I just installed a CD burner and some more RAM in my computer (actually did it without releasing the smoke from the circuits... you guys know that's what powers computers, right? let the smoke out and it stops working). So far the best way I've found to burn CDs is, much as I hate it sometimes, is RealOne Player (tools, burn CD, browse, drag across the tracks you want or choose em one by one, open, and burn).

Does it play some fiddle background music while the CD burns?

The cd burner is great. They are not cheap but you will come out on top after downloading about 5 cds. Now if I can just figure out how to use the darn thing I will really be happy.

Ahhh!!!!!

One of my friends just downloaded Kazaa onto my computer, and people are looking at my files! I don't want that!!

Must... Delete... Now...

*deletes Kazaa* Ahh... better! :)

But, oh! My other friend just downloaded Ares! How nice! But wait, 4 of my files dissappeared! So, I'm having to delete Ares too.

My computer has been to hacker sites now. I might even have to do a system wipe now! I'm going to kill my friends, and then, I'm going to wipe out my computer, and then, I'll kill my friends again!

I'm now staging a protest against the evils of file sharing. Come join me! :)

(Someone, please, just kill me)

Thanks for listening to me rant.

On Kazaa you could just to go to tools, options, traffic, and click the box next to "disable sharing of files." But then, if you're not gonna share, might as well just uninstall. Not sure how Ares works, but I don't think your files are supposed to disappear.

I didn't know what that meant! I assumed that there was this big database that you could download stuff from. Stupid me for telling my friends about this. I'm never using another link again. So there.

I don't want people in my computer. I have stuff that other people aren't supposed to know about. (My plot to take over Canada, for one.)

I dunno Turiya, I don't think you have anything to worry about. There are so many users that the chance that someone would pick your computer to go through, or even be interested in it, is remote.
