Feeling...very anxious...
Ever had your significant other tell you "we need to talk about something...but I can't right now. What are you doing tomorrow?" Well, today's that "tomorrow" and I still have five hours before I can talk to him. Aggggghhhhhhh. I'm pretty sure it's not a breakup talk (at least, I hope above all things that it's not)...I'm just kinda freaked out.
All day I've been doing things just to pass the time...taking an extra-long time to get ready, eat my food (which seems pretty tasteless today), read (and re-read) a magazine article, write a post like this (I know you guys prolly don't need so much detail)...
You guys need to say something in the Close that'll get me rialed up
well, maybe not, but it would certainly be an effective distraction.

Wrong: The first semester will be slow as hell. Second semester will pass in the blink of an eyeThe Leper Fairy wrote: Yes "the next year will pass in the blink of an eye" and I should "be patient" but aughhhh

Okay....feeling very relieved. It was just a communication issue (as in we're starting to get lazy with it) and it's resolved...no breakup

I'm so paranoid

Feeling good. Had some Chinese food, watched "The Warriors" with a friend, which was hilarious. It's currently 1:05 AM and I just got back from the Huddle House. I prefer the Waffle House, but they don't accept debit cards. Mmm, hashbrowns.

A fast food joint that doesn't take debit cards? Weird.Lord Foul wrote:Feeling good. Had some Chinese food, watched "The Warriors" with a friend, which was hilarious. I am finally feeling better after going out drinking on Friday night (it's now Monday night). Not that I have been seriously ill this whole time, just a little woosy with little appetite.

Waffle House is a breed unto itself. Take a Denny's, shrink it in half, multiply the grease quotient by four, and you're close.

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I have been to the Waffle House only once, but it was perfect: after a day spent in a true honky-tonk on Music Street in Nashville, we hit Waffle House at about 1:30 in the morning and I had a patty melt. Best. Thing. Ever.
I'm feeling good, as it is actually sunny, and I am once again--for the fourth day in a row--NOT at work. I am sitting in my sunny room fooling around on my computer drinking my coffee and waiting for the bf to call so we can go play mini-golf, which is also the best. thing. ever.

Thanks, guys...
Turned out to be a tough but edifying discussion...the kind of thing that forces your relationship to grow deeper. I'm very happy we dealt with it, and that we dealt with it so well. A sign of even better things to come, I think!
Today I've felt pretty darn good.
But now I'm tired. So I'm going to bed.

Hmmph. This isn't just a cold it's over two weeks old now, and is just nasty. I hoped Id get some rest over the long weekend, but that didn't happen. Starting now, I'm working from 6 to 2:30, going to the ex's house to watch the kids until 1 A.M., and then going home for a few hour's sleep, 4 times a week, until early September. I had douts that I could hold up under that when healthy; I sure don't think I can survive it sick. Plus my job, thanks to the guys firing every other draftsman besides myself, now would like to see me here 50-60 hours a week. Guess I need to see the doctor.

I'm back at work after 4 wonderful days off. In other words, I feel blah.

Yes, I hope you two get better soon. Being sick is miserable!!
Feeling good after my long weekend in a cabin in the woods.
We got a cabin down a cliff from the others, very quiet and isolated, and going up and down the two flights of stairs made for good exercise.
It was peaceful and wonderful going to sleep to the music of the waterfall, the calling of the owls, and the singing of the coyotes.

Did any melodious birds sing madrigals?
(Sorry for stealing from your poem, Marlowe--or should I say...Shakespeare!)
Feeling good. Going to go take a shower. Gotta take a "stress test" in about an hour to figure out what's wrong with my chest. Hopefully the treadmill thingy will pinpoint it.
