New R. Scott Bakker Interview

Post by Ainulindale »

I recently interviewed R. Scott Bakker, and just put it up. If there are people who haven't tried out the series yet and want to, this is a good interview for you to get to know the series as Scott breaks it down. Also his books are coming out in papaerback soon, so it's a good time to get on track now while waiting for Book III The Thousandfold Thought.

A fabulous epic fantasy IMHO.

Great review. And for those who don't know, Bakker is an incredibly accessible writer. He posts regularly in the Q&A section at the Three Seas Forum.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
