I liked Starship Troopers I for what it was.

I always saw the Star Trek movies as extensions of the tv show, so not worth the budget.

i have read that Hulk was dreadful.

League of Extraordinary Gentleman: an abonimation! and such great source material. i did like two parts, the ideas of Tom Sawyer and Dorian Grey. but the film was horrible, all the way 'round.

I agree with you on LXG. It was terrible and Hulk was incredibly boring.
Supernova...it had great special effects but the dialog was horrible. IMHO.

This is a great, if somewhat plot-holed, film.
Try watching it sober.

You know, I think of all of the movies I have watched, I was most disappointed by Starship Troopers due to the fact that the book was just awesome and the movie took away the heart and soul of the book. I try not to think of II as it was just abysmal. IMHO

I should also add, most of the Movies of the Week on the SciFi channel.
Mansquito was so bad I laughed through the whole thing. Frankenfish was another.

Starship Troopers = Spaceships, killing giant bugs, and naked chicks...how can that even be concidered a Bad movie?

Event Horizon, very crappy.

What was that Uma Thurman one, Gattica? Nice story, but incredibly dull.

I tend to agree with most of the discussion with the exception of all of the Star Trek films with one horrible exception. You know which one I mean. I can't bring myself to say the name it offended me so much. ROCKET BOOTS? I'm doing it again. I'm going on and on and on and on about the dad burn ROCKET BOOTS but.............ROCKET BOOTS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!??!??!?!??!?!??!?!??!?!?? *collapses to the ground twitching and gasping* Oh yeah I thought Beowulf was nearly the worst think I'd ever seen. Wouldn't mention it in a sci fi discussion but the film makers brought it on themselves. :-)

I take exception to Tom's exceptional post, with one notable exception.

I take an exeptional exception to your exception oh exceptional one.

I wonder if I shouldn't start a discussion thread simply titled.........ROCKET BOOTS?!?.....Nah.

Starcrash is horrible. The acting in The Puppet Masters is abominable.

Giant bugs who fire plasma bolts out their butts from the planets surface to destroy orbiting, galaxy-crossing starships?

Ok, on paper that might sound like a good idea.................

I'm still waiting for my refund for Highlander II (although the laser shield was a good idea)

Did any else see Event Horrizon, or was I the only one?

I think it was in theaters for about an hour and a half.

Drew, I'm with you, I thought Event Horizon was garbage. Interesting premise that was absolutely fumbled by a thoroughly untalented director.
