I've just reached the point where Clennie has drawn on her parents' powers, and is now racing back to the insurgency camp to foil an unwise plan of the unpronounceable Major.

Most suspenseful question: What is the brilliant plan of the Gubru involving chimps and an Uplift ceremony? How could they possibly expect the chimps to choose the Gubru as their stage consorts?

"Za'ha'dum on $5.00/day".
Yes, this handy travel guide tells you all the deals so that you can get by on Za'ha'dum for a mere $5.00/day (not including your life, which it may cost you, as well, which is why we suggest you rent one while there).

To boil a fantastic artist's career down to just two or three pieces just isn't fair. But Thor just happens to be the favorite of a lot of readers every where. Having most of the control on his run of Thor, Walt introduced the memorable Beta Ray Bill, a cybernetic alien able to wield Mjolnir, and turned Thor into a frog for three issues.

Since I'm not even sure what minestrone is, except a soup, I'm not much
help.

My fan has been running for several days, too. Oregon weather is much drier
than it used to be.

I don't remember if you are a HARRY POTTER reader. I got my copy yesterday,
but I'm in the middle of reading THE MISTS OF AVALON, so I'm going to finish
that, first. Actually, page 640 of 876. It's my third read, and this time I
think I'm actually going to remember the plot. In addition to the immense
complications, there was so much discordant emotion I couldn't absorb it all
before.

Recently reread David Brin's first Uplift trilogy. Brian had just read THE
UPLIFT WAR, so I enjoyed it more talking about it with him as I read. It has
left a positive impression on me this time. It helps having read several of
his non-Uplift books since then. My expectations are different. Have you
read KILN PEOPLE?

Have you gotten the 3rd season of Northern Exposure? There are many more
episodes in this season than the first two. Also, found the theatrical
version of Persuasion at Barnes & Noble. And Death On the Nile!! :-)

This is vacation. I expect to get some cleaning and reorganizing done.

I agree, there is much that can still be done with White's Lilliputian idea. It's nice to see Malplaquet being brought back to life. Congratulations on all the positive comments from your readers.

I checked into THE TEMPLES OF MALPLAQUET. It looks intriguing but expensive. If you would like me to review it, I would be happy to, if you want to send me a copy. Either an .html email attachment or a hard copy would be fine with me.

It looks like what I have on my plate now will keep me busy till mid-August. After that, if you choose, I will make TEMPLES OF MALPLAQUET a priority.

I had alway envisioned the opening credits with a zoom in from space,
over the sea, across Melnibone, into Imrryr - camera angle as if flying
on the back of a dragon, with the subtle beating of wings, maybe
even glimpses of the wyrm.

Don't you think Falco is someway a Humphrey Bogart of ancient Rome?
Perhaps sometimes Lindsey Davis exaggerates with Falco's nonchalance but her
quick and concise style (I remember even a chapter made of a single "?":
maybe following Hugo's editor's example in his answer ("!") to the author's
question ("?") about how sales were going?) lets me find always the time to
interrupt reading when I need.
Helen's character is quite unbelievable in terms of ancient roman
stereotypes but who knows how real life then was? And, anyway, she's so
lovely!
Did you understand I like Falco?
