Well, another awful night at work. We're sending any people who come into our ER who are sick enough to be admitted to other hospitals in ambulances. Not a bed to be had...

Well, at least this week is really breaking in the baby docs.

And I've found out why I've been feeling funky and tired and burned out lately. My asthma has been slowly creeping out of control. Now that I know that I can increase the dose of my Azmacort inhaler, and hopefully feel better soon.

Yes, I have allergies to various pollens and to mold. Usually when my asthma acts up, I cough a lot. Hardly any coughing (just wheezing, tired, very pale, not able to concentrate well) this time, so I hadn't realized how bad it had gotten...

Going into work actually helps. This week I've been making IV's, which means I've been able to stay in a clean room with super-purified hepa-filtered air.

My younger son has been off at wrestling camp for the last few days. He got home last night, and much to the horror of his older (4 years) brother -- he is now taller than his brother is. When he left for camp he was just a hair shorter.

The people like Danlo and Fist who met my boys at Elohimfest last year will be for a big surprise next month when they see them again. Both have really grown in the past year. The older one is finally as tall as me, and has put on about ten pounds of muscle. The younger one has grown about half a foot, is taller than me and his brother, and has put on about thirty pounds, and a lot of that is muscle.

Yeah, our food budget the last few months has been ridiculous with the way both of them have been eating and growing.

I was having a fairly good day until some a**hole coldcocked me in the hospital parking lot. I'm snapping my foster baby into the carseat base and some punkass vato asks me if I'm leaving. I turn around and say "yeah hold your horses" all of a sudden he's getting out out his cadillac shouting what the hell did you say to me? I said I'm leaving hold on. Then he says get in your **censored** car and get the **censored** out of here now! I look at him, with my hands to the side and begin to say what the... then I'm picking myself off the pavement. Lucky he just missed my temple or I might not be here right now. He must been wearing a ring cause I've got a bloody gash across the righthand corner of my jaw.

I'm killing time while I'm talking to hospital security and waiting for the police to show up so I can file a report. You know I'm nonviolent but I'd really like the track this mother down and lay a serious beating on him. And I'm sorry I said vato--I'm not racist either but some of these gangbanging punks in this town just do what ever the f**k they please and they don't suffer any consquences. I guess I did the right thing in leaving and protecting my child--people like this usually have a gun nearby and I didn't feel like becoming a daily stat. They may have the incident on video--and I may control myself from kicking his ass if they find him but I'm sure as hell file charges and sue his bloody ass.

You know I'm big and can take a punch..but these same punks could hit a sixty year old man in the temple and kill him!

Tam just got home she's worried about me having a concussion--from where my head hit the ground--but I'll be ok I just want to bring some serious justice to bastards like this. (thanks I feel better)

Danlo -- concussions are nothing to mess around with. Both of my kids have had one on the past couple of years, and this is really serious stuff. The older one took months to get over the worse of his.

I did try to call danlo today as threatened, but I only got his answering machine. Guess he didn't want to be mothered this morning.

Having a very busy day. Have been running a million errands, including exchanging another ipod for my older son (this is the second that has died and needed replacement since the original in November -- we think it was shaken to death in his checked-in luggage on the plane back from Europe), picking up my younger son's trumpet which had been in for its yearly cleaning and service, taking the kids out to lunch, tracking down pink colored pencils (don't ask), and picking up my older son's truck, which has finally been fully repaired after the accident in June.

Thank God for accident insurance. The bill was nearly $7000, but we only had to pay $580.06.

I'm going to try to call danlo again now, then take a nap. I will need energy tonight, as we are going to that Pink Floyd concert/laser show thingee down in Toledo, and it starts around 10PM.
