I happen to LOVE The Hoodoo Gurus F&F. I tend to get a bit specific about things that I love.

Yep, me too. Sometimes I feel like the Red Collection and other times I feel like the Blue Collection, but more often than not its the Blue. I particularly love the Harrison songs. While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Something. I hit the repeat button when those songs are played.

Now you got While My Guitar Gently Weeps running through my head!
Any jackass can kick down a barn, but it takes a good carpenter to build one.
Speaking of songs running through my head. I heard the O'Jays For The Love of Money today. I had to pick up a best of the O'Jays cd while I was passing Borders.

That happened to me two days ago; I heard Slippin' into Darkness by War and had to buy it!
The O'Jays? HMMMM I know I heard a song of thiers on the radio a few years back but I can't think of what it was. Have to search for it. But I still think the verdict should have been "guilty"(bad joke)
Meanwhile I am listening to alot of The Donnas trying to gear up for Lollapalooza. But all their stuff sounds alike to me. But it's okay. I got some Jurassic 5 stuff too. And I really like it. It is not hard rap but it can still be considered rap. Like Wy Cleff or Len. They have alot of funny sound bytes mixed into the music. Really groovy.
"Hellfire! Everybody in this whole business, you and everyone keep accusing me of being some sort of closet expert. I tell you, I don't know one damn thing about this unless someone explains it to me. I'm not your bloody Berek."

Tonight at work we are eating deep dish pizza and listening to various Blues compilations albums. Really putting me in the mood to travel to Chicago. Cool jazz and blues, and pizza half a foot thick!
personally prefer my pizza thin and crispy .. lol .. but the sounds are appealing
today i have been forced to listen all day to the Pokemon sound track .. lots and lots and lots of times over .. i am feeling suprisingly wiggly-tuffish jiggly-puffyish and a wee bit on the iggly-buff side of things today .. lol ..
mmm .. really got my wiggly tuffs-out!!! LOL .. i am quite kosher with the brother concept now .. tell me what we're fighting for? we've got to end this war .. tell me why??? brother my brother ..
its getting crazy the things that we said .. why cant we go back to the way we were instead .. tell me whyyyy .. brother my brother ... LOL
I am not too sure about the regressive tendencies promoted .. but hey .. all kids under 10 know what its all about ..
.. is there no escape

My children have, thankfully, finally outgrown Pokemon, though for a long time my husband always was calling me his pet Jigglypuff.
It is Calibaby's and my dream to go Chicago one weekend after the children are grown and do nothing for a long weekend except listen to live music. Just wander around our favorite part of the city, called River North, and go from jazz bar to blues club to piano bar to restaurant with live music until we collapse from musical overload -- and then start again the next day.
i love live music events .. here every summer we have great events in magnificent venues ..
cello in the park .. string quartets by the lake .. vocalists .. etc .. a variety of performers whether instrumentalist or otherwise .. it is really nice

Heh, Hellfire and I have a complete set of the first pokemon cards, and we often find ourselves watching Pokemon on the weekends... but Digimon is better. I'm not sure if our son is going to be happy he has such playful parents or mad that Mom and Dad are always playing with his toys.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”
-George Steiner
He'll love it Syl. Mine are always bragging about how their mom has her own Game Boy, and that she plays along on some of their Game Cube games with them. And how she actually understands Yu-Gi-Oh. For whatever reason it blows their friends away.
Sometime's it's a blessing not 2 have kids, epescially in the Yugi-Poke-Dig realm...and they'r lucky 2 as I will never go 2 Disneyland/World in my lifetime! (or Las Vegas either, it's against my religion)
