Gap Game
I'm about to start work on a Gap forum game. Basically, it's like Axis and Allies in space - Amnion vs Humanity. I will have a star map divided into regions, each of which is controlled by either side. Sides will build ship yards, vessels or research technology. There will be four to each side. So what I want is, who is interested? Sign up below.

I may have a third side in the game - rogues/pirates, however that would be difficult to implement.
Anyway, I will write up the rules tonight and hopefully have them ready by tomorrow.

It's a turn-based game here at the watch. What will happen is that every five days (roughly) a turn will occur. Each turn will be made up collecting industrial points to construct units or shipyards, moving fleets, battles, researching technology, spying, etc. At the end of the turn the results will be displayed in a thread. Each turn will have a thread, and the start of the thread will have the map displayed (could someone host it, thanks?). Players then state what they are doing. Research will be conducted in secret, with the results being emailed to each team.

Excellent!
Edge, could you help with the icon department? Maybe design some flags so that the teams could have them in their signatures? I'm sure I'd need you or KW to design more, too.

I'd be happy to help any way I can.Loremaster wrote:Excellent!

And as far as hosting goes - I recommend Imageshack. I'd be happy to upload stuff there.

You are first on the list, Revan. Well, you are also first on the Amnion list. However, I won't be playing - just moderating the game. It would be unfair.
As for legalities, as I'm not making any money off this, and plenty of people have made computer-game mods based on SRD's work, I don't need to ask.

Neat! If not, I don't want to be an Amnioni.Loremaster wrote:I may have a third side in the game - rogues/pirates, however that would be difficult to implement.

Oh, a change is coming, feel these doors now closing
Is there no world for tomorrow, if we wait for today?

To clarify; obviously I don't want to be an Amnioni.
I would prefer not to be on the Amnion side, though I guess that depends on how the game fits with the story timeline.
Or if using a name from the series is even allowed.
(Maybe I should just shut up and be patient.)

Well you can simply sign up for the human side. No problems.
Piracy will be a 'neutral', unplayable force.
Benefits of being on the human side: large fleets and better manufacturing.
Benefits of being Amnion side: more powerful vessels (fewer of them, though) and better technology.
