I'm Shockwave too. I don't remember him, but it seems he's the scientist-tyrant who held the transformers' homeworld hostage. He transforms into a big gun, a bit like Megatron.

Pretty much. He was intelligent but physically feeble and tended to pop up to seize leadership whenever a more powerful commander was out of action. I always quite liked Shockwave.
