You all suck

Post by kevinswatch »

Because of the topic about the main character of a certain TV show in the Thomas Covenant Movie forum, I am now a House-aholic. I'm addicted to his oh-so great sense of humor and wit. Before I would have nothing to watch on Tuesday nights, and I would be at peace with my homework. However, I am now a mindless House-maniac, waiting obsessively for the new episode every week.

I hope you all are happy!!! :x :x :x

;)

(Seriously, awesome show.)-jay :P

It's a moderately interesting medical drama on Fox. It's not bad.

Love the new avatar Jay, the Tick rules!

It is a so-so medical drama with an interesting main character but unrealistic and inaccurate storylines and writing. Can't stand it, but my wife watches it every week.

Laurie is great--I've never seen Black Adder so I don't have that inbred prejudice. I agree that the storylines and supporting characters need some help. With the addition of Sela Ward and a fresh season I expect some improvement in those areas. Maybe they could lure some of the writers over from ER as that show has, pretty much, run it's course.

That is a truly disturbing picture, though not as disturbing as the leather-clad Bob Saget.

I too am a house addict, but also its the closest we are going to get to seeing TC on a screen...
But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.

I love the sarcasm. Love it. The plotlines are mechanical and predictable, I can't speak for the accuracy of the medical information, but this show has some great lines (mostly from House). Doesn't hold a candle to The West Wing's most brilliant seasons (and probably even its lousy ones), but it's one of the more intelligent things on network television these days. This, I suppose, doesn't say much for the status of television in general. If they'd just vary the plotlines more, it'd be all good.

"Now if you remember all great paintings have an element of tragedy to them. Uh, for instance if you remember from last week, the unicorn was stuck on the aircraft carrier and couldn't get off. That was very sad. " - Kids in the Hall

"You are Number 6."

I also love Yes, Minister. As an uninformed American, I am sure much of the political humor flies over my head, but those I do get make me LOL.

Ah, people with taste. As my sig says, "I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered!" 8) "Who are you?" "The new Number Two" "What, another one?!"*

As for Yes Minister: It certainly helps if you've witnessed British politics first hand, but it also affects your perceptions. For example, I can no longer see any official giving a speech without assuming it's been written by a Sir Humphrey, and taking a guess at what he was trying to conceal when he wrote it  "I don't want an enquiry, I want to find out who did it!"
