I wonder how they are going to tie the two villians together?
Will they pair up at the finale or will one be the focus the first half while the other is developed behind the scenes warming up for the end fight?

I don't know but I'm sure it will be great.

I still laugh when I think about the scene where Peter gets his moped demolished and he tells those kids to eat plenty of green vegtables!!
:haha:

Although I have to mentally ignore the whole organic webshooter thing.
bleh!
They could have had so much more fun with the cartridges running out like in the books.
Oh well.

Sandman is cool, but I don't see Venom working without totally changing him, or spending some time having Spidey in a black costume.....personally, the Vulture, Kraven, Electro, Lizard, Scorpion, Jackal, Tarantula, etc. should be done before Venom.

Yeah...I really don't get Topher Grace as Venom. I recall Venom's alter-ego in the comics being a huge bad-ass bodybuilder or something. If he bulks up for the role, he might look the part, though.

Not to mention, I still think of him as Eric from That 70's Show.

Tarantula?
I never would have put him on that list.
He's right up there with The Gibbon.
Hell, I want to see them all!
The first 15 minutes should just be a free for all.
15 one minute segments of Spidy taking down or fighting a bad guy while having Peter doing a monologe bringing everyone up to date where we are in the story.
I'd even forgive them if they threw Big Wheel in there too!

Topher Grace would have been my 2nd choice for Spiderman, but I think he's too 'good' to do Venom. Therefore, he'll probably be brilliant. Speaking of the 70's Show, Laura Prepon would have been my 2nd choice as MJ, and Kurtwood Smith is the obvious choice for the Red Skull.

And the Gibbon, while awesome, pales in comparison to the Kangaroo, Rocket Racer, Wil 'O the Wisp, and Man Mountain Marko.

I suppose that's just a matter of taste HLT.
I always found that there was to much trying to make it deep, which would have been OK, if it had worked. I jut don't think it did. I'll give you, that the action sequences were brillant, and the villain was superb. But on the whole I wasn't to crazy about it.

huh?
What happened there?
Did my reply catch your post before you deleted it?
That's pretty weird!

The one thing that made me CRAZY about the fight scenes though was that Doc Ock wasn't superhuman himself.
How was he able to take multiple punches from Spiderman like he did?
He never could in the comics.
It almost ruined it for me but I got past it.
LOL

And that whole cake eating scene was a litle weird too.
But if her last name is Hardy then ......

Sandman and Electro were the featured villains in James Cameron's original story treatment for the Spidey movie he never made. That would've been cool.

LOL HLT!

I changed avatar to seem less menacing and serious. But on second thought I can see how my new avatar could have the exact opposite effect.

He never could in the comics.
In Spiderman #3 (the original comic, not the upcoming flick), Doc Ock was hit by radiation that fused his mechanical arms to him, made him insane, and, according to Ock's own boastings, made him super-strong. He actually ripped off Spidey's webbing with his bare hands, but all it took was one punch from Spidey to finish him in the end. So, if you're confused, you're not the only one. Me, I still want to know how Daredevil can survive anything he does without super powers; I mean, could you imagine Terrel Owens trying that crap? Yet he's in peak physical condition. Hell, if that's all it took to do that stuff, I'd be in peak physical condition, too! :D

Yeah but DD was on tons of painkillers (according to the movie) and I'd have to be on them too to survive a second showing of AFLAC's acting talents :P

IMHO Spiderman 2 is the greatest comic book movie ever made. And this is coming from someone who always loved the X-Men and Wolverine comics but found Spiderman boring.

I definitely believe that the Spider Man movies were the best comic book adaptations ever.
