I have always "entertained" the idea that our "solar systems" seemed to be similar to "atoms" with protrons, neutrons, orbiting, etc.. I've imagined many times that we might be in the "bad parts" of the "giant person" who we were a "microscopic" part of....

Horton Hears A Who, anyone? heh.

The look in Albert's eyes captures me the most, I must say, not to mention the "hair thing", haha. 8)

his story about the "empty pants" had me freaked out for years as a kid

What was I Scared of ?
Dr. Seuss
And, now, we meet quite often,
Those empty pants and I,
And we never shake or tremble.
We both smile
And say
"Hi!"
...in my pants

I just knew someone would notice the overlap - pick one :)

I'm in the 30-40 group and I once spent a year thinking I was a year older than I actually was - I was pleasantly surprised I'll tell you !

My only consolation is that, although I'm in the >40 group, I'm younger than Furls.

Horton Hears a Who and Go Dog Go are my absolute favs too! (However, and I've been pointing this out in class and reading worshops lately--Go Dog Go was written by P. D. Eastman, also famous for: Are You My Mother? 8) )

She's almost my youth (age) and lives in my second favorite (actually my fav, if I could afford it..) city--I'm in trouble with this one here. :P

I've been reading a shortened version of Go-Dogs-Go to my kids for years.
But I never knew that it was the "condensed" version.
I picked up the full one at the library and neither I nor my kids liked it.
I don't even think it rhymed, if I remember correctly.

Kids are funny.
My daughter always said "oh no!" at the end because one of the dogs dropped an icecream cone and my son always says "shushhhh.." because one of the dogs is sleeping.

Let me enjoy the last two weeks of being in the 30-40 age group. :D 8)

I'll be in that over 40 group soon enough. :)

But, at least I will always be younger than Fisty and that silver haired fox Damelon. :| :| :|

i knew that, i just mentioned it along with the dr. suess because it's my second favorite next to Horton!! :) i also loved Are You My Mother? i used to read it to my youngest brother (13 ys my junior) and would cajole him into following our mother around and asking her "are you my mother?" :haha: it's still a running joke in the family!!! lots of times when i call her up and she answers the phone i ask "are you my mother?"
 (twisted evil big sister/daughter) :)

I do not like that party hat
I do not care where it's at
I do not like them on his head
I do not like them painted red
I will not wear one in my house
I will not put one on a mouse....
(heh. anyone care to run with this? The Fist?)
