I had a very bad encounter with an anthill when I was four years old, and, in turn, I hated them with a passion. These days, though, ants are my favorite animals. They, to me, are the closest animals to humanity, in that they have a society (anthill) and live for a greater good. That's most impressive, coming from insects. My favorite thing ever on TV was watching "black ants vs. red ants" on the Discovery channel. Julius Caesar could not have orchestrated a better conflict! Plus, watching huddled battalions of army ants move over the land like rushing water is amazing.

Talking monkeys are smart! So smart they've developed philosophy.
I think that's what it means.
Hunter-gatherers are are smarter than us.
