Mine is what my name would be if I were one of the Old Lords.

Hopefully I'd earn the title by spending too much time on the Land's equivalent of the Internet. I wouldn't cast a Ritual of Desecration against the Arch of Time. (Unless I had a really good reason, like I thought it could defeat Lord Foul or something.)

I wanted to use Foamfollower or Lord Mhoram because they were two of my favorite characters from the Chrons...But of course several people had already chosen names based on them and who could fault them for having such good taste right ? ;)

Luke is the name I go by seeing as how I share the same name as my father and grandfather and it's a lot easier to go by something different.
If someone were to say: Hey Luther ! and all three of us turne around it becomes a funny situation, so I took my father's nickname when he was younger.

I chose The Unbeliever as the second part of my name because I can't read the Chrons without feeling in some strange way that Donaldson wrote TC in a way that anyone of us could see ourselves as being him in some way...

so...I'm Luke The Unbeliever. :D
Brian: Who cured you?
Ex-Leper: Jesus did, sir. I was hopping along, minding my own business, all of a sudden, up he comes, cures me! One minute I'm a leper with a trade, next minute my livelihood's gone. Not so much as a by-your-leave! "You're cured, mate." Bloody do-gooder.
Brian: Well, why don't you go and tell him you want to be a leper again?
Ex-Leper: Uh, I could do that sir, yeah. Yeah, I could do that I suppose. What I was thinking was I was going to ask him if he could make me a bit lame in one leg during the middle of the week. You know, something beggable, but not leprosy, which is a pain in the @$$ to be blunt and excuse my French, sir.

mine's a pun on bourgeoisie. i use it pretty much everywhere. the first letter of my name is B and i'm a pest controller by trade hence the 'bee'. i'm waiting for someone with some drawing skill to do me up a pic of a bee with a beret on. my avatar is part of an artwork i used to design my tattoo.
it all comes together nicely i think.
When I learned that the word 'decide' has the same latin root word as 'suicide' and genocide', I started making more choices.

Master Matthias...

I read the redwall series a couple years ago and i've been facinated with the name "Matthias" since it is close to my real name. I chose the title: "Master" because...well...for two different reasons. first, because of the TCTC, the Master of the giant ship dromond, and second, because it is a significant title in the book that i'm writing...if i went too much into that, you would think i'm crazy...

I'm always musicboxforever on everything, so figured I'd use it here. It's inspired by the song Stay by The Blue Nile

"Candy girls like candy boxes
she loves the music box forever"

I'm no candy girl and I love music... what more can I say.

Mine's an amazingly cool Rage Against the Machine song (who I'm also obsessed with). (Actually, I'm not sure if they wrote it, but I only know their version, so... yeah.) I would have come up with summat Chronicles-related, but... I couldn't be bothered. I've used this one on a couple of other things. It's very... me! Though I'm not much of a renegade.

Fine, Mr Esmeristic Smartypants, I'll spill.

I was a nun, a cloistered Discalced Carmelite nun, and my name in religion was Sr Juanita of the Cross and The Immaculate Conception.

Oh, God... I just came out as an ex-nun on a Fantasy forum.

Really, jwaneeta? You were once a nun? Hey, that's interesting! Part of the charm of KW is the diverse backgrounds of its members. And it's fresh and intelligent voices like yours that help keep the Watch my favorite place to come to on the Net. 8)
