I completely agree with Foamfollower. He does drive me crazy some of the time but you gotta love him. There's just no way not to.. Though I did see someone on the Guestbook say that they're the only ones in the world who hate TC. And I agree with everyone who's said that there are no Chronicles without TC. I mean, if you think about it, it is truly about him and not wholly about the Land. Someone said before that it is a stage for him. Cheers to that! Ah, the 3rd chrons without TC in some form.. t'would be unimaginable...

:R  :R

he cant come back 2 life tho. that would b almost as bad as an '& then i woke up' ending. i no that that is how TCTC ends both times, but its different coz both TC & LA no that they r 'asleep' in their own world, whether the land exists or not.

u all seem 2 b really down on LA. sure her moanin was worse than TC wen he first started out, but i reckon there is a lot left in the girl that we dont no about yet. we saw how TC reacted wen he returned 2 the land & saw his victory undone, imagine how she will react if she returns & sees part of her victory undone. her past in her own world is a lot darker than TCs afterall.

You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Hail everyone...I vote for Covenant to play a major role in the Third Chronicles. Sure, he died at the end of White Gold Wielder, but the laws of life and death were both broken. The Giants bore his body away from Kiril Threndor (my guess is that they took him to Andelian along with the new Staff). And SRD said "there is no reason why Covenant can't come back"

My hope is that he does come back...not that I want him to be like a "second coming" to redeem the land...but as more of an immortal figure, not a ghost. He is now the keystone of the Arch. And it is said that he ends up destroying the universe. Seems to me, he has to be play a major role in the books to do that.

Besides...what would the Chronicles be without Thomas Covenant???

If TC is not in the The Third Chronicles of Thomas Covenant he would have to call it something else. Right :?: I think whoever is picked for protaganist will be awsome but if I am forced to guess it would have to be Roger. The new book begins with him and Linden in the opening scene so it pretty much has to be one of those two. Unless we have to listen to Joan's poit of veiw on the whole thing. :) That would be interesting.
