But there's nothing to discuss yet.

I liked that part in chapter 12 ...when Lena shows up, and stabs Linden in the back with the Krill, and then she and Cov, with the help of Nom and Foamfollower join the Haruchai/Elohim war just in the nick of time, before Kassy has time to unleash his sectret wepon.

8)

I thought the preceeding chapter was even better, though -- the one where Mhoram and Quaan harness a random Fall and emerge from the Past holding hands, wearing shy smiles and secrets in their eyes. That chapter ROCKED.

Well, I liked chapter 9 myself.
You know, where they are led to Mhoram's grave by a Raver possessed Wraith?

That rocked!

I liked chapter nine well enough, but I found the introduction of the Famkejanssen kind of abrupt. A whole culture of rebel Elohim dedicated to wraithwars? Where did that come from?

I haven't finished the last two chapters, though, so perhaps all will be made clear. OMG DUN SPOIL ME K

And what about the prologue!!

Where Liand is so impressed by Stave's speech (and thinks the one eyed thing is cute) that they become the Lands first married gays!!

Eh. Mahboubt booty is all very well to push sales on the American market, but I prefer the UK cover. It's a stunning example of conceptual art. Close attention (or digital analysis) reveals that the abstract hatchmarks are more than a crude drawing of the stones of Lord's Keep: they form words.

CAER-CAVERAL IS A TRAGIC HOTTIE

3 2 1

A stunning depth of visual narrative, and completely worthy of SDR's world-building magic. And the foil is shiny!

Liand/Stave OTP! L/S is Teh SEXXOR.

But I'm baffled as to why Hile Troy/Caer-Caveral was resurrected. He's just hanging around making goo-goo eyes (so to speak) at Linden. Doesn't that guy ever learn?

And why is Covenant bald? And barefoot? And what's with the bloody fangs?

The last two chapters gave me no answers, only another cliffhanger. I can't believe we've got to wait another year!

Sacrilege! you'll make it come true! Noooooooo.......!

(And Liand is not gay! He's got the hots for both Linden and Pahni! And Stave is too cool for any form of attraction.)

But the bit when Cail emerged from the past, declared himself in love with a Raver, and slapped Esmer upside the head and called him a "girly boy that cheats at combat" and disowned him was fun. (Love Cail, hate Esmer.) And then when Linden unmakes the Staff and Vain and Findail both chase her around in Mt. Thunder while Jerry-bob does his thang.

I think I'll shut up and write fanfiction now. *hint hint give me something new to read hint hint*
