The Movies
Anyone own this game? It's great and the ability to make your own movies and upload them on to the net is nothing short of genius!

I was thinking about it, I take it its worth it?
Looks like it could be a lot of fun.

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

I have it and I've been playing for a few days now.
It's basically a management game with the ability to make your own movies. And when I say your own movies, that's what I mean: you can choose your actors among those you hired, you can write the script, add visual and sound effects, choose the costumes, the sets, even add your own dialogue if you have it on the computer!
It's a really good game... The radio station you hear throughout it is often hilarious (such as when, in the '20s, you hear that an eccentric scientist has invented the T.V., which other scientists claim to be a shrinking machine capable of storing people, items, and even landscapes - but in black and white. "And our scientists are always right!"). You can make your own actors (using an interface similar to that of The Sims 2), or you can hire some of the hopefuls queueing out of your recitation school. They reproduce Hollywood in an amazing level of detail - down to the awards ceremonies, stars throwing temper tantrums, or getting drunk, or overweight... there's even a plastic surgery clinic where you can get your stars for a lifting, liposuction or prostheses!
Once I get the hang of making the movies I want, the way I want them... be very afraid
