Haikus of the Land

On my ranyhyn
The moonlight dances along
Across Andelain
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Wish I knew how to make a haiku, but somebody would have to give me a serious lesson in syllables!

I think the standard is 5-7-5. But I was looking at some n google last night and I saw some with 4-6-4, and 3-5-3 :?: Maybe they were translations? :?

As Revelwood burns
And as Lord Callindrill falls
The old death returns
Love as thou wilt.

Laughter of Giants
Fills the halls of Revelstone
Haruchai exhalt
All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest

The Dead haunt the Grieve
Retake hell by Raver's stone
White fire exalts to heal.
And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.

~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~

~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~

...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

Horses everywhere
Lousy, stinkin' Ranyhyn
Eating up my lawn
All lies and jest
Still a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest

Across the oceans endless
Steadfast, strong and true.
