omnibus of the Second Chronicles:
That reminds me of something that struck me when I was rereadingI bought a copy of the Second Chronicles thru SFBC and Ilium too. I have been trying to figure out just what that disk was myself. I got no idea. Linden's looking pretty good too...
the Second Chronicles recently.
Donaldson describes Linden in more detail than he ever described
Thomas Covenant:
And it seems to me that Teresa, the heroine of the Mordant saga alsoHard work and clenched emotions had not hurt the gratuitous
womanliness of her body, or dulled the essential luster of her
shoulder-length wheaten hair, or harmed the structured beauty
of her face.
had a lot of attention paid to her physical appearance.
I don't recall Donaldson saying much at all about Covenant's
physical appearance other than that he was tall and gaunt and
-- in the Second Chronicles-- had graying hair. I THINK his eyes
were gray, but I recall that only because it seems like Elena had
his eyes....
So what I'm getting at is ... does Donaldson only like to describe the
babes in his stories?
