The words seemed to blur together as the Watcher struggled with his/her task. Sweat bled down the sides of his/her face as the strain of so much effort began to take its toll. The sound of the rapid fire tapping upon the computer keyboard threatened to drive the poor fool insane but he/she endured and persisted. Finally he/she began to sense that the end was near. His/her heart began to race. At last it was here! The conclusion of his/her self imposed nightmare had finally arrived. He/she slumped backward into his/her chair, arms falling down to the sides, quivering with fatigue. It was done. The Kevin’s Watch Anthology had been completed. All there was left to do was to upload the manuscript along with the completed and formatted artwork to the publisher’s website. One last task to perform. He/she raised his/her weak and shaking hand to the mouse and moved the cursor over send button. One slight movement from his/her index finger and it would all be over. One final minute action would bring the painful yearlong ordeal to its final and inevitable end.

Then the power failed and the Watcher’s computer hard drive melted into slag.

He/she pulled out a .357 magnum, brought the barrel of the gun to within an inch of his/her temple and…….

Certainly true. But "Ooh, I'll start a new story for the second anthology"? Hell no.

I don't see that undertaking more work will help the first lot of work get done. I think we should wrap up the current anthology before we even begin another.

Only a jest that apparently misfired. :-(

I get it, finally. This whole thread is the Anthology! And our lives are the story! *hugs everyone*

Yup, that's it. Now all we need is a cover for this thread.

Ask Jay, I'm sure he'll come up with another good one.

Don't worry, Edge is genuinely serious about doing it. He told me he will explain here what is going on.

A week ago Edge told me he has moved some of the stories into the layout program. His delay is that he set up a business partnership and they are working really hard laying the foundations and trying to earn a living. He's eager to have this on his resume, though. I just wrote to him again this morning.

Okay, now that we're down to 3/4 of a year left before next Christmas, how's that cover doing?

Maybe we could steal HLT's avatar, and put a book that says "Kevinswatch Anthology" in place of the krill....

Could you see the forest for the trees, though?
