underrated... hmm, part of me wishes to shout "King Crimson".. but it would likely fall upon deaf ears.
So I will pick two others. closely related because of the lead singer:
'Faith No More' & 'Mr. Bungle'.

Mike Patton came on the scene and kicked some major buttocks! As part of the founding line-up of Bungle, he agreed to joinn FNM under the priviso that he could continue with Bungle. He has one fo the best voices in rock and one of the best creative, funny minds in the biz. With 3 FNM and # Bungle albums under his belt he went and did a number of solo projects which failed to capture my ear. It should be noted that the band behind him in Bungle were some of the tightest, hard-playing vertuosos I have heard in a long time.

I've always loved Squeeze--yes they were obscured by the constant airplay of Tempted and Black Coffee in Bed, back in the day--but they have a bunch of great and very humorous songs like Annie Get Your Gun, If I Didn't Love You and Pulling Muscles from a Shell that never got the appreciation they deserve--you could tell that band liked to drink....ALOT! :P

Anybody else ever hear of the band Paw? Great, underrated grunge band. I really want to get a hold of their 2nd and 3rd albums, but I, uh... can't find their files anywhere online. I mean it; not a single mp3. This is practically unheard of for me.

It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.

I didn't even know sheep ate bananas.

The music features songs from many popular A&M bands such as "Therapy?", "Soundgarden", "Swervedriver", "Paw", "Hammerbox", and "Monster Magnet". The game even includes a full length video from "Swervedriver".

Triumph and Rainbow. Two bands with amazing musicians and a huge catalog of great songs that just never hit it big.

My ears are listening. ;) I've got 11 of their albums (studio and live). They're my #2 band, right behind The Beatles, and "Starless" is my favorite song.

His last post was quoting a King Crimson song.

Or possibly the cover by April Wine......

I love Squeeze......in addition to their own catalogue they did some great work with Aimee Mann in the early 90's.

A band that I've been pimping lately: Southern Culture On The Skids great guitar work and songs about white trash....what more could you ask for?
