Interesting Book Recommendation Site

Post by duchess of malfi »

You enter a book, and it will find you a list of books that will hopefully match up well with the one you like.

For example, here is the page for Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.

Of the top five matches, I have read and enjoyed three, and have not heard of the other two (though if I ever get to the bottom of my "to be read" pile I will check them out. ) Actually, I have read and enjoyed a remarkable number of books on that particular list. 8)

Cool. Coded a few.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

No one has coded any of The Gap books, short story collections, or Man Who Mysteries yet. :) Might be a good project for the Watch. 8)

Did Killed His Brother

Funny that one of the closest matches is Crime and Punishment.
