Clapton's Unplugged was good.....But for the most part the performances were horrible.
I just like Southern Cross, but I really couldn't tell you what the hell the song is about.CSN(&Y) is really hit and miss for me. Southern Cross and Wasted On The Way are two phenominal songs, but I can't think of another one I like.

I've never been a fan of Ralph Stanley, but every time I've been at a festival where he's performing, I've stayed around until he did "Man of Constant Sorrow." His original version was full of mountain soul. Then the O Brother soundtrack came out with Tyminski's version, and now Stanley sings it like Tyminski. What a sell out.
Clapton's Unplugged was exactly what was wrong with the whole "unplugged" thing. Layla is a great song, that (to me, at least) sounded like crap in that swing-shuffle arrangement.
Southern Cross, like most CSN songs, is about snorting a bunch of coke and fighting with your girfriend. In this paticular song, it happens on a boat.

I saw a guy down in New Orleans sitting on a park bench playing guitar sing Wasted On The Way in a way I'd never heard it. He was basically playing the song classical-style; no strumming, but a ton of really intricate fingerpicking stuff. It was amazing.
