Oh come ON! That drawl and smirk don't suck you in? ? ? ? ? Charisma? the guy oozes it! I wanna ...er, jump him...everytime he's on screen!!!!! And that's exactly the effect Nick had on women!

I'm quite content for you to have that opinion. But I tend to agree with the Metro journalist who wrote today about Keira "That's not acting, it's walking and speaking without falling over" :|
Elfgirl wrote:All I say to you Cjr, is WATCH one episode of "Lost", check Josh out as Sawyer and TELL me that isn't Nick Succorso.
I'm with Murrin; I've seen a couple of episodes of Lost, and though I thought Sawyer was the best thing in it and he possibly has the looks for Nick, he just doesn't seem (to me) to have the magnetism required for Nick. The Sawyer bloke may very well be "jumpable" :P but Nick's charisma powerfully affected men as well as women. Of course, it's entirely possible that this form of charisma could somehow be synthesised on film.

Big problem though - he's too American ;)

TOO American? No Pommy git can draaaaawwwl man! You need a Southern boy!

Forgeddaboudit. We must agree to disagree. And just because Sawyer goes out of his way to be a nasty-boy, doesn't mean Josh Holloway couldn't turn that aspect around for Nick.

B'sides, he looks like he'd be a dang good kisser. And all chicks LOVE a bloke who's good at snogging!

Bill Paxton? too old to be Nick. I reckon Nick as early-mid 30's only. Paxton will be late 40's. Guess if they don't make the Gap into a film within the next five years, even Josh will be too old to play Nick.

I'm very adamant about my casting choice at THIS stage however, in case you hadn't noticed... ;)

I don't care who is cast for the Gap film, as long as it has at least one of the actors from La Femme Nikita in it. Heh. Michael should play Warden Dios, at the very least.-jay

Nah. I scoped a pic of him online. Maybe Maxim Igensard. Not a patch on Liam Neeson as Warden!

Liam Neeson? I donno...I don't think I feel Liam Neeson as Warden at all.

You have to watch an episode of La Femme Nikita to see Roy Dupuis as Michael in action. He's amasing.-jay

I imagine Warden being bigger than Liam Neeson. If memory serves, Warden is described as being fairly average in height, but with a heaviness of stature that makes him seem taller than he is.

OK, Cjr, YOUR turn to cast it! I have already 'assembled' my ideal (well, near enough to ideal) cast (i think the pic links are on page 13 or 14 of this topic) - let's see what you come up with (as long as Josh stays as Nick...I'm amenable to any other changes.... )

Can't STAND Pullman he has some acting talent as Hayden=Rock, Keanu=Plank of Wood, Pullman=Hard Plastic

I say Lawrence Fishburne for Dolph (say what you will about Event Horizon but his Captian Willis not only could be trusted but kicked some serious ass) and this guy will always be my Angus Image

Bad news, Gap crew. OUr IT shites have shut down my work access to this site - bloody pathetic that a BOOK & AUTHOR site is blocked in a frikking library eh?

SO I will not be on here very often as a result. I don't have home internet (in the interest of self-preservation and needing a life away from computers!)\

anyone care to hack in and smash down my work's firewall?

The question is, did they explicitly block this site, or was it caught up in a "generic" block? They could have, for example, decided to lock out "discussion/chat" sites. Or the mature subject matter of some of the forums could trigger an auto-filter.

Now, as far as this being a Library, on the "work" side of the counter, such blocks are pretty much SOP, and you would need to come up with some valid buisiness reason to open it up. (Note: "I like site and spend lots of time there" is probably NOT a valid excuse! :D) On the other hand, if it is also blocked from public-access terminals, you could make the case that this is a valid site, and should be entered as an exception in the block lists.
